3 Way Trade Sends Scheffler To Lions

Apparently the Broncos have traded away their TE as well. Tony Scheffler is now a Lion. Which is interesting because the Lions drafted a stud TE last year.

Eagles picked up Ernie Sims (LB) as they start to use their laundry list of draft picks.

Broncos look like they want to influx their team with young talent.

I wonder how Sims will fair in Philly. He's undersized but faster than some DBs and a violent hitter.

I was surprised to see Scheffler go to the Lions as well. They have their man in Pettigrew, so I never would have thought they'd trade for another tight end to add to their massive list of ends. It'll be interesting to see what kind of year Scheffler has in Detroit. Only thing I can think of is the depth behind Pettigrew was less than stellar.

Sims kind of makes sense going to Philly to me. If only because Philly is pretty weak at the linebacker positions, and I can see Sims making an impact on their defense. I think it was NFL.com where I read perhaps Sims injury last year and Deandre Levy's performance might have played a part in his trade. However, I don't really see Sims are an injury concern, he started three years no problem, and put up some stellar numbers.
