Keith Bulluck

13 posts in this topic

Was thinking about our upcoming draft, and in my opinion, DE is our biggest need.
However, as we all know, Ozzie and company don't necessarily draft based on need alone.

So, what does any of this have to do with Keith Bulluck?

Glad you asked!

We are clearly gearing up for an all-out run to the Lombardi trophy this year, and plugging up one of our last remaining holes would be a big step towards accomplishing our goal.

If we were to sign Bulluck, we would add a big time talent to our LB corps. In turn, it would also allow us to move Suggs over to DE full time without worries of whether his fill in would be up to par.

I'm picturing a front seven that looks like this:

Bulluck - Ellerbe - Lewis - Johnson/Kruger

Ngata - Gregg - Suggs

Looks pretty damn tough to me, regardless of whether or not you may believe that Bulluck has lost a step or Suggs is better at OLB.

Another bonus of this would be that we can take a CB/TE/Safety guilt free early on, or if we do grab a DL early he can learn behind the best.

Thoughts?

*edit*

It would also follow our long-standing tradition of recruiting aging Titans :P

I think Bullock tore his knee up last season and that might be scaring teams away from a 33 year old linebacker. I like Bullock a lot though and hope he recovers soon, just not sure he is the best option for us with the injury happening.

Yes, I did forget all about his injury, which throws a bit of a monkey wrench in my plans for world domination.
Has anyone heard anything regarding his recovery?

Suggs doesn't have the size to play DE in the 3-4.

I like Bullock too but considering his how old he is and the type of injury he's coming off, signing him probably wouldn't be the best idea.

not to make it even worse but Bullock also isnt a 3-4 OLB and is only 235 pounds. But I like the world domination possibility lol.

Bulluck is a crybaby anyway. Definitely not a Ravens kind of player.

Oh Em Gee Flyn what were you thinking? How could you even post something like this?

'Cause I just can't let it die.

haha, this def does rank among the bonehead threads of the year..
and to think, I felt so smart when I was on NFL.com and saw that Bulluck had not been signed yet, and came right over here to report my stroke of genius.

But ya have to admit, that was almost a good find! (okay, well not really, because he would not be available if he were healthy, but I'm reaching..).

<public relations recon>
Just for the record - I really don't like Bulluck ever since I saw him shove his own teammate (Finnegan), even though I cant stand Finnegan and he had it coming. Just one of those things you dont do, especially not on camera.
