Browns Oc

Just heard that the Ravens organization wants to interview Browns OC Chudzinski.

I don't really think this would be a great option. They should focus on real Head Coaches.

What do you think???

well, I think if you look at the great HC in the NFL today (Belichick, Holgrem, Reid, Dungy, Gruden, Gibbs, etc...) that at 1 time or another they were once a Coordinator themselves (they have to get their start somewhere right?)

I mean personally speaking the former HC out there that have been mentioned as possible candidates don't thrill me at all, and that is Cowher and Marty and simply cause their age is the key issue and how many yrs will they stick around?

If this team were a SB contender then by all means hire a stop gap HC like Cowher or Marty, but this team isn't a SB contender (regardless of what Biscuit thinks imho)

If we got Chudzinski, i'm sure he would try to bring D.Anderson with him. That is the only resons why I think they would interwiew for him. Chudzinski isn't one of my top favorites as being our next coach, but it is what it is.

we're trying to go mor so on the offense side of the football right now and i dont really think that he would be a good fit here. but we have more interviews set up with possible canadiates so we'll see how things work themselves out and all

I'd rather get Rex as HC, than the Browns OC. He had only one good year. I don't think that puts him in a position as a HC.

We wont be a playoff team next year? I think we will, this same team went 13-3 the year before, with all the guys returning healthy, and maybe some really good QB play we should be contenders.

that's a good reason not to hire this guy! his team had 1 good year ( and still didn't make the playoffs! ) and now he's a candidate for a HC position? also, bringing derek anderson with him would stir up more controversy at the QB position. leave troy smith alone, focus on other areas of need. personally, i just think they are interviewing these guys in case cowher says no. it has already been made public he is the 1st choice. if he says he's interested and wants to talk, all other interviews go on hold!

If he somehow became your new head coach he isn't bringing Anderson with him. Anderson isn't going anywhere unless some team sees a reason to sign him to a long-term deal and even in THAT case, Cleveland would get at a minimum.. that team's 1st and 3rd round draft picks. I don't see any team giving that up for Anderson.

As far as Chud goes, overall I liked him as our OC and I hope he stays. One thing I would like to see out of him is more of a commitment to the run. He finally did that the last 5 games of the year but I think his inability to do that early on cost us a couple games.
