Hawaiian Visiting Baltimore

6 posts in this topic

Hey guys.

I'm from Hawaii, but I'll be visiting Baltimore in late May for about a week. I'm a huuuuuge Ravens fan. I was wondering if you guys could point me to any cool Ravens fan things to do in Baltimore.

Will there be mini-camps in May? And if so, how do I get in? Right now, I'm trying to set up a tour of M & T Bank stadium, so I'm pretty stoked about that.

If you guys have any tips of what I should do or see with my time in Baltimore, they would be greatly appreciated.

Go Ravens!

Mini-camps are not open to the public so that's out. About the only things going on in May are the Preakness and the Orioles. The downtown area is still worth a visit, though. The weather is usually pretty nice that time of year.

1) Catch an O's game. Eat the Roast Beef
2) Visit the Inner Harbor. Stroll the aquarium. Eat some crabcakes.
3) You're also a skip, jump and hop away from DC. If you've never seen the monuments. Go check them out for free.

The only thing I can add to that is hit the museums. There are several world class Smithsonian offerings right there by the Washington Monument. They are can't miss IMO.

The only upcoming Ravens related activities which I know are outside your late May window:

Ravens fans clubs convention in Ocean City June 3-6

O's Ravens Rally at Oriole Park at Camden Yards on Saturday, June 12th
Make sure to visit the Sports Legends Museum, next to the Orioles Park at Camden Yards, in the historic B&O train station (read Baltimore's Civil War history to grasp its historical significance). There is a nice Ravens memorabilia room.

For other than Ravens activities during your visit, check out "Questions" forum.
