One player whose almost guaranteed to crash and burn is Cromartie. I've read he excels in press man-to-man coverage. Regardless, teams likely won't be testing Revis much meaning a ton of balls will go Cromartie's way. He may get his hands on some INTs but he isn't great in coverage and certainly wants no part of tackling. It's going to be fun to watch.

The way I think you have to beat the Jets D is by spreading them with multiple WR sets. Throwing to Cromartie's way (which will happen quite a lot) becomes very redundant and predictable. In order to keep from throwing at Revis and not over-exaggerate throwing at Cromie, one will have to spread them out, like Peyton last January. He did it and it worked perfectly, as their less talented nickel and dime corners got torched. Also, spreading keeps them from blitzing almost every play, giving the QB more time to throw and find someone open. But of course you can always try running on them, that'll always be an option unless you're trailing them by a lot in the 4th quarter.

I'm with most of you guys: I know it's honestly too early to be talking about it...but I just wanted to know how people felt up to this point. I have personally decided that, after the draft is said and done (in which the Ravens will work magic with their limited picks), the Ravens will be ranked in the top 5 for favorites to win the Superbowl by most NFL pundits. I personally feel that the Saints, Jets, Colts, etc. will be in equally high contention as well...maybe the Titans, too (but only if they can get their ragged defense together). But we'll have to be considered one of the most if not THE most balanced team(s) in the NFL. Obviously nothing is guarunteed in the most competitive and variabled sport in the world's current history (imo)...like I said, I just heard it from a Steelers' fan...not my personal opinion by any means.

I was feeling starting a topic like this because all the NFL Draft analysis was starting to become headspinning regurgitation and dejavu xDD.

Wallace burnt Webb and almost scored a TD in the 1st game and caught a bomb that set up a Steelers TD in the 2nd game. Regardless, he's likely going to improve as a player so assuming the Ravens will contain him isn't wise.

Like I said before, I'm not going to assume we'll crush the Browns. No one saw them as a potential play-off team before the '07 season started.

I'm confident the Ravens will beat them twice but you just don't know.

Any number of things could happen which is why I don't see the value in talking Super Bowl in April.

First we have to make it to the AFC Championship and then we can talk about the Superbowl. But let's say we should be considered the one of the best teams in AFC and rightfully so. First task should be to win the division.

As far as Steelers, we know they're pretty strong team, but I think they are in trouble, I can't hardly remember last time Steelers were in such a turmoil. I agree Mike Wallace is good WR, but he isn't Santonio Holmes. Our secondary had problems with covering Holmes, but no problems covering Wallace. We know their running game is not good enough, and their deep threat WR, who beat us few times in the past, is gone. So, yes, I'm confident, Ravens go 2-0 against Pittsburgh this year.

I think we have a good chance to win the Superbowl every year. when we didnt have a offense we still won the superbowl with defense. we still got the draft and trades and so on so i wont say we are top contenders but i will say im feeling good about our chances of being top contenders and getting to the superbowl.
