NBA In Baltimore?

10 posts in this topic

I would luv to see Baltimore get an NBA franchise. Once we trade for Yao Ming we would have the interest of like all of China...which has to shine a lot of light on our beloved Ravens...I just luv seeing Baltimore this...Baltimore that...so I'm putting it out there....The more positive eyes we get focused on Bmore the brighter we would shine as a whole....(Just a break from the norm) :bananallama: draft Defense 1st round.... :wootwoot:

how about it

I don't think Ted Leonsis would allow Baltimore to bring in a franchise, that would likely kill the Wizards.

Have you looked at the attendance numbers for the Orioles since the Nationals came back? They definitely lost a sizable chunk of folks who lived in DC and just wanted to watch baseball

Hell, the only reason that there's still decent average attendance for the Orioles are because of having a well established fan base, and because of all the Yankee and Red Sox fans who show up and fill Camden Yards. You also seem to have forgotten that Angelos fought for years against having baseball come back to DC until he got them to agree to fork over cash to him via MASN.

The Wizards are a younger team in a town that is not very focused on basketball, they probably don't want a nearby team in Baltimore to siphon off fans.
