Sometimes it's not about the size of the fight in the dog; it's about the size of the dog in the fight.

On to next season.

Nothing makes me happier when the state of Pennsylvania loses. I hate <Philadelphia> and <Pittsburgh> ! But that being said, the fact that it was the Blackhawks winning the stanley cup makes me even more happier! Well that and Huet wasn't the goalie to win it for them...(just kidding! I really am happy for Chi town!)

Congrats Hawks

Hossa shouldn't even be on the sig haha. It should be Kane in the middle with the US flag surrounded by the other 20 Canadians on the team with one huge Canadian flag. Also I can't even tell who that is suppose to be on the left, you'd think Sharp would be on there but that doesn't look anything like him. Still the sickest sig on the site.

It's Thomas Kopecky. Thanks for the compliment.

Boooo Keith said after the game that he will be bring the cup to BC, although he did give a shout out to us it was pretty cool. Grew up in the same town as me Fort Frances small town of 8,000.

That last goal by Kane has to be the most unusual goal for a title-deciding Stanley Cup Final.
Still, the Blackhawks are the deserved victors this year having a great run throughout the regular season and of course, the post season. The team that impressed me the most though has to be the Flyers. From battling for a spot in the playoffs at New York in mid-April to Conference triumphant champions, this team had the most passion during this long stretch of the playoffs.

This year's playoffs were as exciting as ever with some quality hockey played.
Congratulations to the Blackhawks and any Blackhawks fans that happen to visit this board!

As for the bad news; Hossa got a ring. :34853_shakehead:

The killer instinct finally overcame the survival instinct. The mixed feelings I felt last night haven't gone away yet.

And hockey season's over now. Fortunately I've got my hometown Atlantic League baseball team to cheer for in between now and the start of football season..will make the summer sports withdrawal a lot less painful.

Oh one good thing about the 'Hawks winning? Toews can shave off that weird 20-something playoff facial hair he was sporting. What the heck was that, anyway?

:D

First of all, Congrats to the Blackhawks. They are a great team. In the series as a whole, both teams played pretty evenly. The deciding factor however was the least bad goaltender. In a series where 4 of 6 games are decided by one goal, those soft ones are huge at the end of the day.
It doesn't feel good that my Flyers lost, but I am mighty proud of how they fought to the very end. So, in defeat I will be holding my head high and as always I can't wait until next season!

That's the reason I figured it was going to be a high scoring series, despite both teams having good defense core's both teams lack the star goalie. In the end it was a terrific series to watch, but you have to admit that, that was a brutal way to finish the season. Basically half the goals Leighton let in were softies and Niemi's were all rebounds.

It was just Chicago's year as sometimes you get the bounces and sometimes you don't. I think it will be a challenge for them to keep all that talent in house while trying to remain under the cap.
