This is why Ed can't retire. Link

Thanks for the link. Ed's ballhawking skills are second to none. He is the best FS ever to play in the nfl. We all know he will retire, that's inevitable. However, no one will replace him.

I agree with charch. I never heard that he was 100% retiring. Thought he would come back. Link to his retirement?! I don't think he's going to retire though. He'll come back. :)

Well, painful as it is to think about, it wouldn't exactly come as a shock if Ed called it a career within the coming months. I think he's going to gut it out for one more go around, because the only thing missing from his legendary career is a SB trophy.
Something I've learned to do is to enjoy what you have when you have it, and he has already blessed us with countless memories.

My bad. Should have said that he will retire eventually - probably in the next couple of years

It's kind of sad that injuries are making him consider retiring at 31. He still has at least 3-4 more years where he actually can break more records and solidify himself as the greatest FS to ever play the game.

I bet if he came back and we won the Superbowl he wouldn't be considering retirement anymore.

I hope the acquisitions of Boldin and Stallworth are at least keeping him open to the possibility of coming back. If we have a good draft with such low picks then maybe that can sway him for coming back.
