Say What?

Apparently Oakland trade bust Javon Walker offered a full refund on that $55 million contract he signed due to not performing, and that he will sign for the league minimum when the time arises
"Everybody knows how Al Davis is. What people and fans don't realize is when I did sign that contract, I offered to give it back. So that's the thing people need to realize and need to hear is that I don't take money just to take it. [...] When I was in Oakland, I offered to give that money back, and they said 'no.' "
He's really desperate to revive his career. For a player who demanded a big payday only a few years ago, he doesn't seem like the type to suddenly NOT be greedy anymore. I think this is part of a long-term plan to secure one final payday by playing well next season for mere pennies.

I honestly forgot that he was a Raider... he had so much potential while in Green Bay, and I think if he had stayed he could have been right up there with some of the best. Oh, well, that's what he gets for going after money instead of winning.
