I've been looking at some threads and I thought about what our record would be. I'm thinking somewhere around 12-4. What are your thoughts.

Steelers 14-2
Browns 12-4
Bengals 10-6
Ravens 8-8
I hate the off season

2009, we lose Rex Ryan and some defensive positions, some injuries on the line, and new corners make our defense vulnerable early on, finding itself later in the season to finish 3rd ranked defense overall if I remember correctly. Oher at left tackle and Rice breaks out, but a lack of consistent targets eventually catches up with us. Offense improved, defense worsened a bit, we finished two games behind 2008 9-7, smashing the Pats but only scoring 3 against the Colts in the divisional.
2010 draft: Cody at Tackle, and Sergio will kelp bolster a Ravens defense that with Ngata and Lewis, is basically impossible to run against, in theory. Corner position is a worry, with two corners coming of knee injuries, but maybe we sign an undrafted rookie or free agent. Also, more pressure up front could help the secondary out. On the other side, new weapons, Boldin, Stallsworth, and some new TE's and a reciever for Flacco in his 3rd season. Along with a new qb coach, one should think Flacco stepts it up, progressing maybe to 4,000 yards passing? With Ray Rice, Mgahee, and McClain still potentially being a three headed monster in the running game.
So based on all that, improved defense up front, and finally a passing game that seems to match the ferocity of our running game, I say Ravens finish higher than 2008, at 11-5, and go 12-4

11-5 was my other guess. I think besides the 3 out of 4 games on the road scenario starting the year off, we're catching a lot of breaks too. Saints at home in the winter, Steelers without Ben, and then when Ben's back, it's a home game for us later in the year. And besides the teams in our division, the Pats game is the only away game that'll be played in maybe not perfect weather.

Barring any additions, I'm saying 11-5. I'd love to say 13-3, or 12-4, but the road schedule looks very strong, and the beginning of the season is brutal.

11-5

We face some tough competition this season. I think we can take the division with this record. Cincy struggles to stay consistent with winning seasons, so they may not show up, and if that happens, this is our division for the taking. CLE has me shakin in my boots with the new Franchise QB McCoy lmao!

looking at the schedule we could easily go 12-4, 13-3 but counting the intangables, mistakes and with all of these offensive weapons cam has to make sure he has a identity for each game that will be played, with that in mind dont be surprised if we struggle through the season. Im rooting all the way to my grave GO Ravens!!!!!!

i'd be happy with just making the playoffs no matter what the record. i didnt set myself up last year an i wont again this year. i would rather have a great team then a almost perfect team like the pats.

We went 11-5 without Boldin, Stallworth, Dickson, Pitta, Reed, Cody, Kindle, Ellerbe etc., there's no way we finish with the same record this year. 13-3, 14-2 if we can handle the Saints.

Mod Note: I merged this topic with another one because they were, essentially, the same exact thing.

I completely disagree. You would just be a homer.

I predict 12-4, and I am usually a Debbie Downer (Predicted 7-9 season for 08)

You have to think that with the possibilities of this offense, we can finally finish games. I think our defense plays better football early on as well, since they've had a year under Mattison and have the additions of Cody, Kindle, and Jones. The only question marks I have concern the health status of Webb and Washington come game day and if Cundiff can kick in any pressure situations we may run into. Even with our corner situation, I think this is the best all-around team in football, and I think we have overwhelming talent at several positions. Hopefully our offense will be able to put up enough points to cover up the glaring hole at corner that we currently have (if it remains the same until Monday Night at the Jets)...I have faith that the offense will deliver if that be the case.

I just feel like our team is going to gel like crazy. I can't think of any guys who would distrupt team chemistry, unlike the Jets, who I think are hiring too many cooks for the kitchen.

This seems like it could be the year. 13-3.

Wouldn't call it much of a record prediction, but with the team we have and looking at the schedule -- so long as we're down no more than 7 points at the half, we should win. So long as our D stays healthy and the offense clicks and runs on all cylinders, this should be our best season thus far.

If I had to wager a guess: 16-3

If I'm playing with someone else's money: 19-0
