John Matsko's

We have such up and coming talent on this offensive line.
Yet for the last two years no O-line guy has made the pro-bowl. Ben Grubbs Left guard deserved a spot last year and he did not get it. The JO torch was passed onto Gaithers and I know that Micheal Oher is young raw talent that is only going to get better. I hope the NFL recognizes that Joe Flacco has not missed any games due to injury "knock on wood" because of this O-line and the well coached guys of John Matsko's motivation along with Johny Ogden's mentoring....

The O-line is actually more overrated than underrated because people think this is a great line already. Everyone knows there is individual talent on the line with some high draft picks and that they are good line, but last year year they were very inconsistent, especially against the better teams. They looked awesome vs the Pats in the playoffs but they can never run the ball on the undersized Colts. They didn't run or protect well vs the Bengals both games, Packers, Vikings and Browns 2nd game. Steelers always get pressure on Joe who took some vicious hits and he finished the year not trusting his protection and with one leg.

That being said, the line has great potential and should be better than last year. Oher will be better as a 2nd year player, probably at LT where he will be the man for the next 10 years. Yanda should be stronger a year removed from his injuries and Grubbs was also banged up a lot last year.

I'm happy with our O-line because it has sooo much young talent, but its not one of the best lines in the NFL yet; our guys are too inconsistent and inexperienced (except for Birk hahaha). I think we'll develop VERY well, Oher is a franchise LT, Gaither could be as well, Grubbs is extremely talented, and Yanda plays with a chip on his shoulder. I think within the next couple years we will have one of the best lines in the NFL, assuming we keep the players we have and find a good center to replace Birk when he retires.

It is amazing how many people switch in and out of this O-line.
Examples Ngata plays RT and Chester goes down field like TE.
Yanda makes the switch from Rt to RG and back and forth same with Michael Oher.
Oher can play RT or LT and has the size and strength and durability to play both areas.
The best versatility that I see from possession to possession, is quick reaction of the right guard. They move from blocking the Qb to blocking the RB to get the extra yrd on the run play for the first down...
