Is It Just Me?

10 posts in this topic

Is it just me or do you agree that it seems like the players are excited about the outlook for this upcoming season? Seems like more players are participating in voluntary team activities. Ray is talking about wanting another ring. Heap is saying he feels better than he has felt in along time. The new receivers are working with Flacco in special sessions. Could be just me, but I feel something special about this next season. Time will show!

Happy hunting everyone!!!

All signs point to this being a great season considering the talent the team has amassed so far and what they could do in the draft. Still, I'm tempering expectations because there was a lot of excitement going into the 2007 season and we all know what happened that year.

Funny thing to. In 07 we played the afc east. Play them this year too. Hmmmm.. Maybe we can have a different outcome this season yes? But you also have to remember that in 2007 we were working with Kyle Boller and a elderly running back in Jamal Lewis. And once again all we had was Derrick Mason. Look at us now.. Elite QB, elite HB, and elite WR. We have changed a lot as a team since then..

We have our toughest season yet this year so I'm not putting expectations very high.

When we go against the Saints and Jets that will tell how far we have come as an offense. With the Jets we'll be facing a top ranked defense and with the Saints it's the best offenses in the league.

I see those games showing how far we have come and what we are capable of as an offense. We know we what we got on defense.

Exactly! and Jamal Lewis definitely didn't look "elderly" that season either.

But yes, this season should be a good one. Last year was the first time the Ravens made the playoffs 2 years in a row, and I see no reason to think they can't make it there again this season.

Here's to everyone staying healthy! And hopefully the NFL will get their act together and let us know if we're playing any big games Week 1 or Thanksgiving! They need to quit slacking!

Everything starts with the coaching staff and there ability to get the most out of there players. The next is the captains to get there side of the ball motivated and then everything start coming together and we are back in the playoffs and back in contention....

Our guys have every right to be excited about this season, back to back playoff seasons that ended bitterly and us fans have got to be excited because our offseason aquisitions. Pretty good preseason games too. If you arent happy and excited about what is to come then something is wrong!
