You can't be in the AFCN without being great one year and crappy the next.

well if your the browns, then It's crappy for your entire existence, then you get one good year(only because of 2 ex-ravens) then loads more crappy years to come :P

I just can't bring myself to bash the Browns. It's like egging the short bus. Just not necessary.

He drove his hoopty all the way out from Cincy???? Are you sure he wasn't just using the jersey to cover the hole left by the inoperable window? Did you see any duct tape?

Haha, gold. The car was, in fact, making that weird squeeling noise that cars with bad fan belts make.

Having trained with a few British Royal Marines, I've always understood that English "humour" goes a little further than American humor. Don't get me wrong, it's definitely good stuff, but taboo and arrestable over here.

I was hoping that with the entire free world (outside of New England) rooting for the Giants there would be this mysterious negative energy projected towards the Patriot sideline that would prevent them from winning. And for a while there, I believed it was happening. *sigh*

Woah there; please don't lump the good folk of Connecticut with those Boston fans. I just happened to be here looking up some info on the Pats/Ravens game (some joker on the Boston Herald website is claiming that the Ravens and their fans had accepted that there were no bad calls in that game) and noticed this post. I've lived in the nutmeg state my entire life and never met a Patriots fan until the late 90's.

Good luck to your team next year - for the rest of the Post Season I'm rooting for anyone but the Patriots (even if it's the Cowboys or Redskins). I don't want to imagine how insufferable Bostonites will be if the Pats win...

Welcome to the boards...with that attitude I think we'll get along nicely.

Thank you, but how can I not wish general happiness to a fan base that has such tasty shellfish to offer? I have to say, I lived with a Ravens fan 1999-2001 and, even watching Superbowl 35 together I wanted to strangle him far fewer times than I feel the urge to do with an average Pats fan. I don't mean to suggest it's universal among them, but there's some sort cross section of people who are both Red Sox and Patriots fans who manage to get the entire martyr "I'm great, but no one likes me, I deserve pity and a trophy!" thing down. And if I ever have to hear Rodney Harrison accuse someone of 'playing dirty' again my head will explode. Maybe it's my own experience, but they seem to be the only fan base that can't admit when one of their players is a jerk.

As for the game earlier this year - I couldn't believe how many times the Ravens had the Patriots stopped dead in their tracks only to have some miracle cause the game to continue.

That has been this past season in a nut shell--if it can go wrong it will and in spectacular fashion,

I know there are a few of you poor peppered throughout New England...., no doubt operating like the French Resistance in German occupied France. I applaud your defiance of the local bandwagons and apologize if I offended with my generalization. You folks are hard to come by. The play-offs are here and we need more negative energy. Pass it on..... "John has a long mustache."
