Sheldon Brown is a fantastic cornerback but I wonder what they're asking for in exchange..

It's usually too much.

The Ravens only have five draft picks and only two in the first four rounds.

I don't see the deal going down.

agreed, unless its a conditional pick based on production this upcoming season. I'd rather just draft one of our own, though.

Yep. As people have said numerous times, the CB draft class is pretty talented this year.

If we had more than 5 draft picks, I could have seen this happen. But I really don't see Ozzie giving up any more picks. Especially to a team that demands way too much most of the times.

Ozzie won't be trading any more 2010 draft picks.... if Brown can be had for a conditional 2011 pick, then I'd hope we'd look into it considering our lack of depth and uncertainty at the CB position.

I like Brown a lot, but I liked him even more 2-3 years ago. What in the world would they want for him? Probably Willis McGahee or a 2nd round pick. Too high! We are definitely not giving up more picks. Plus, Willis has more value due to the fact that Brown just turned 31 years old (his bday was march 19th)!

If they would give us Brown AND a high draft pick for Willis I might listen. Solely due to the size of Willis McGahee's contract and the production of Rice. We won't be able to keep both for much longer if the salary cap comes back. I would rather control where Willis goes and get something for him than just cut him and allow him to go to any team. Furthermore, if we traded (or cut) Willis this year there would be no penalties. My only other question is: Can we throw in DW or Barnes for their 4th round pick too? I like these guys for their potential even though they are taking longer than thought to reach that potential. I think Philly has needs for both these players and we won't get better value for them than a 4th round pick.

I would also be a little cautious because if the Eagles get a CB early in the draft they might even release Brown. Ozzie wants to add a veteran CB but many teams have been known to purge veterans over 30 after the draft or in OTAs. This might be what Ozzie is waiting for.

Good point. The Eagles let both Troy Vincent and Bobby Taylor go after drafting Brown and Lito Sheppard a number of years ago. They could do something this year with Brown.

If we make the move with a 2011 draft pick, I would be very satisfied. The man hasn't missed a game in his 8 year career and is has an exceptional knowledge of the position. Would be a great mentor for our young CBs.
