My New Superbowl Pick...

25 posts in this topic

I think every team In the NFL needs to be scared of these guys, they have not lost since the tragic loss of sean taylor and clinton portis inparticular has been putting up big numbers.

we saw what happened to our miami guys when they were playing for sean, all three of them were monsters that game. Imagine if you had an entire team with that kind of determination. That's what you have with the redskins.

I'd like to see them or Green Bay win it all, both would be more uplifting stories than 19-0 by the Pats.

I dont know why the NFL want's them to win so bad, seems like they're promoting cheating.

As aposed to the commitment and longevity of brett favre and GB, and the determination of the redskins.

just seems like those are the values that they should be teaching younger generations.

The only thing that makes me want the Pats to win it all is to stop hearing about the '72 Dolphins popping their Champagne.

but the '72 dolphins will die out soon enough, if the pats take home the lombardi; it will be like starting from square 1, and we'll have 40 more years of gloating to deal with.

The first part of this sentence made me laugh out loud.

A bunch of Patriots fans go to my college, it's pretty awful. They're all either bandwagon fans or New Englanders who decided to go to school in Virginia to study accounting and be obnoxious. Mostly bandwagoners, though. They outnumber Steelers fans here, which is really weird.

I'm a firm believer in karma, I try not to talk trash before a game.

Same here. I try to only talk in self defense, but I am relentless once provoked.

As much as I may covet my new Clinton Portis jersey I bought yesterday (along with my black Steve McNair jersey) for these upcoming playoffs, I still wouldn't mind seeing Brett Favre walk away with another Super Bowl ring.

Buuuut...if it came down to Green Bay & Washington in the NFC Championship game, it'd be a win-win situation for ME!

It would make for an ultra-hypeable storyline if the Redskins met the Patriots in the Super Bowl (after that 52-7 regular season game).

lets see we have 3 great stories here

1. Washington- winning the super bowl, for the memory of shawn taylor

2. New England- trying to complete a perfect 19-0 season

3. Green Bay- seeing as Brett Favre(in my opinion) will retire after this season, would be a perfect ending for him to win the super bowl, retire afterwards, and retire a winner.

my view, skins win it all

I could see that, i still have a special place in my heart for the Redskins, they were my team before the Ravens came to town.

I think if the Redskins toughest challenge is gonna be Seattle. If they can win this game then I see them taking it in the NFC. But...I just don't see how they are gonna beat the Seahawks.

1. Playoff atmosphere is alot different than regular seasons games.

2. Seattle is already one of the toughest away games to win in. I guarantee that crowd will be 10x louder too. I still remember how crazy it was when we played the Titans at home in the playoffs(I'm still suffering from the headache :P ).

3. Todd Collins has no experience in Playoff atmosphere. Gonna be a great challenge for him.

4. Seahawks have alot more playoff experience than the redskins recently, as far as player wise(Not Coach).

A couple of things to look at here though is Joe Gibbs never lost a Wild Card game in his career. At the same token the Seahawks are 3-0 playing at home in the playoffs the past few years. One of these is bound to break.

I hate the Redskins, but I wish them the best of luck. I just hope someone beats the Patriots, thats all I care about :).

Seems like a little pattern here for Redskins and the Ravens the past few years. Playoff picture They go in 2005, we go in 2006, there in it this year, maybe next year is our turn!!

Funny thing is about the Redskins is they won last week by 21 points, and now they lose by 21 points this week. A very wierd conspiracy maybe?
