Just stuff I'm listening to right now:

1) Passion Pit
2) the xx
3) Royce Da 5'9"
4) Bonobo
5) Phoenix
6) Novel
7) Nas
8) Raheem DeVaughn
9) Kidz in the Hall
10) KIDA

Honorable Mention: KiD CuDi, The Walkmen, and Stars

Lots of indie rock/rap/pop/R&B. Still listen to mainstream stuff all the time, but not in as much frequency the past couple of weeks because of all the new music I've bought or acquired via the station. I'm just going through this phase where I'm trying to grow my musical ears again, and I do this once every semester, and then settle into a certain number of artists I'll listen to before I get bored and do the same thing again.

first one who says Justin Bieber gets auto banned from the internet.

Starting now, go!
It irks me that Justin Bieber is a trending topic on Twitter every day. He and the Jonas Brothers must have a monopoly on Twitter or something with their legions of pre-teen fans.

Love Rush (hands down one of the most technically proficient bands ever), but after seeing "I Love You, Man", everytime I listen to Limelight and Tom Sawyer, all I think is "I'm slappin' the bass!".

Because most of them aren't on major labels and are strictly on the indie scene. You'll only really hear Passion Pit or Phoenix on the radio, either internet or FM. The rest are relegated to the industry sheets and online distribution. the xx performed on Jimmy Fallon's show the other night and didn't have the best performance, but it wasn't horrible. And Bonobo is a huge DJ in the British indie scene.

Matisyahu is one of those artists where you hear someone talk about him, ask who he is, then when you find out who he is (a Hasidic Jewish Rapper/Raggae artist, what have you), you're sort of flabbergasted. At least I was when I first heard of him, but upon giving him a chance, he really is a superb artist. Such a... contradiction (perhaps?), but it works so well.

Love all the list's! I,(huge Rush Fan! 2112 Il. Lic. plate!) have always enjoyed George Lynch. Whether with Dokken, Lynch Mob, or his own band, Mr. Scary rips some mean chords! I just love music as a whole! A true art from played some really talented visionaries! I have over 500 CD's and they run the full spectrum! Personally, music is the closest thing that man will ever build that even comes close to a time machine! Rock on!!

Breaking Benjamin is definitely what I've been listening to for the past few weeks. They just recently released their 4th album. It's just amazing how much their music matures and improves through every album, if you start at their first album and listen to them in order through the latest you will be blown away.

Other than that, there's a band out of Delaware called A Mourning After that just signed with an indy label, watch out for them too ;) lol j/k I always have to make a plug.

But seriously i've been listening to:

Breaking Benjamin
Killswitch
Bullet for My Valentine
All that Remains
TRIVIUM(probably in my top 3 favorite bands)
Metallica
Chevelle

as far as MUSICIANS: Check this dude out...AMAZING TALENT.

I'm now officially hooked on eminem's the warning. A HUGE diss at Mariah Carey because she denied that the two of them were going out. Here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NN2tqkZofhE
