Wow, very lucky for him. Truly a win-win situation for him, needs to give blood to treat his condition and needs money to fund his season tickets. I'm sure normally, some people would call him obsessed. Heh.

I think he learned that giving blood saved him after the fact.

A neat story but the math doesn't really work, does it?

I assume that blood was worth $15/pint when he started. I have no idea how much one can sell a pint of blood for now, especially with the recent popularity of vampires, but (145x$15)/ 56= $38.84.

So less than 40 bucks a year to supplement the season tickets? How much did tickets cost in 1954? How much can you sell blood for now?

I don't want to be the wet blanket I know I'm being but the logistics here seem funny.

Yeah, I know that. However, I'm speaking for any future tickets he may need :P

I don't know, selling your blood isn't a big deal. It's a worthy cause and your body produces more blood anyway.

Now if he was selling something else, I'd be a bit disturbed.

That's a great heartwarming story, how lucky was he? getting to do what he loves doing, while saving his life in the process, I just can't get past the 11 kids, though. :34853_shakehead:

Wait, I can make money by selling my blood? Sweet, where can I sign up?
For sure, I've only heard of blood donations.
