Espn Picks

Here's ESPN's week 17 picks:

Wickersham and Mortensen have picked us to beat the Steelers' backups. Not everyone has picked yet either, so keep checking...if you care...which you probably don't...I sure don't.

And the Madden simulation:

We're actually losing this one, which kind of gives me hope.

No Big Ben does give us a chance.

Funnily enough, I got nervous last year when Bart Scott knocked Ben out of the game briefly because I knew Batch would probably play better.

I thought we did a pretty good job on Matt last week, considering both of our starting CB's were out. If our corners play like they did against the Dolphins, than any QB in the NFL has a chance to beat us.

Batch is a quality Back up quarterback right now that knows the team and the offense and can come up with the big plays for his team when it really seems to count....

Hines and Heath have a habit of making the plays, and Seattle showed that our D now is a bit weaker against the run without Ray.

charlie batch has proved that he can step in and do an admirable job in ben's absence. sure no ben helps, but remember, the steelers are playing for that 3rd seed too, so they'll still be giving it their all. nothing, as far as seeding is garunteed for them, so they won't rest a lot of starters like the colts or cowgirls. but for the millionth time, anything can happen in sports so maybe the steelers will overlook a team that has lost 9 straight and get caught sleeping.

the steelers have to win against us (doable) and have the raiders beat the chargers(unlikely) to get that 3rd seed...i dont see it happening.

I think Batch is the best true backup QB in the league right now. He's stepped in and won games for us many times since he's come to Pittsburgh. He knows the system, the recievers tendancies, the works... win or lose I'm glad he's getting some reps before the playoffs, we might need him you never know.

I feel as though Troy will had himself a fairly good game and our offense will generate a little groove and rhthym drive the down the field and generate those points on the score board. Its all about Chemistry, timing, poise, leadership, humbleness, determination, and a few other factors that i cant remember right now off the top of my head that decide the out come of a game.

I actually made a $20 bet that we would win. When I first made it, I thought it was an idiotic move. But I was betting with a Steeler fan and I didn't want to back out of it.

Now I feel like the smartest person in America.
