Until I actually see them play together, I won't put them among the best.

On paper and conventional wisdom leads me to believe they'll be a formidable group but I want to see them do it.

I'm just glad that this solidifies the fact we will not be going WR in the first 2 rounds. We need to fill holes on defense to be a good overall team.

I'm so happy. We went from almost nothing to something in just a matter of days. I just hope we can prove it on the field. I just am so gracious to the front office. Now we can focus on :3dtext10082zo1: during the draft.

Umm, doesn't Defense have an "S" in it? ;) Sorry, couldn't be helped.

Let's not kid ourselves. We aren't going to have an offense like the Saints or Colts now. Flacco is still developing. Normally it takes a year for a wide receiver and a QB to gel together because a lot of the passing game is rhythm which is why i think it is so important we brought Mason back.

Also, we are not a passing team and Flacco isn't ready to be cut loose yet. But........ if our offense can be efficient and consistent then that will be more important than whether or not our receivers are tops in the NFL.

Example: in the Colts playoff game against the Ravens we could not move the ball at all and they just doubled Mason the entire game and we couldn't do anything. So then Manning kept getting amazing field position and when you put Manning at the 50 yard line he is going to score. But our d actually held up nicely. But we aren't going to win any games putting up 3 points against the colts.

This year will be different

@ lowrider:

exactly low rider... and I believe Cam used thosed exact words; efficient and consistent.

Defense held up rather nicely in that game, considering what they were up against. The Ravens just couldn't generate any points. I think this receiver corps will make the defense better and I'm awaiting the rematch in Indy this year and predicting a different outcome.

waht makes them one of the best? that we have 2 1000 yard guys? c´mon! if they bring it on the field everything is fine. i hope they have a good year and flacco really breakes out this year. no excuses anymor. he got the players he whanted to have and now it´s all on him to prove that he can be elite. i have high expectations and i believe he will get it done. i don´t whanna talk about SB or some like that but we should have a great year if everybody could stay healthey and comes in in top shape right from day one!!!!!

Which ones? I just noticed on the main website that we have 11, yes ELEVEN receivers on the roster at the moment. Obviously that number is gonna be lower once we lose/drop a few and some of them are on the practice squad, but dayum, its our most plentiful position right above our TEN cornerbacks.

I just watched the season opener against the Chiefs on NFL network. Our offense was awesome during that game, not a lot of big play passing but it was just so efficient, and gave so many different looks. It's like every time they scored we were able to answer. Clayton was actually making plays, Heap was making plays, it's like near the end of the season we gave up on a lot of stuff.

If we can run an offense like that, where we keep grinding, getting first down, 5 yard runs, occasional big plays we are going to be a tough team to beat.

Where do you see 11 receivers? I only see 7. I was hoping we had Washington on there when you said that, but mostly we have practice squad guys on there.

EDIT

I was unaware there was a free agent section. My apologies
