NOT hands down, but certainly formidable.

Ochocinco, Bryant, and Caldwell are certainly forces to be reckoned with.

Holmes, Ward, and Mike Wallace have the edge, however. I hate to say it, but it's fact.
Uh, no, that's pretty much the definition of an opinion, i.e. not a fact. Unless he gets better, Limas Sweed alone detracts from their overall grade.

Anyway, Ravens are looking in great shape so far this offseason, Terps basketball is doing awesome, Hopkins lacrosse is doing alright...good times. Maybe the Orioles will even finish near .500 this year!

Mike Preston was right about how we should be greedy in adding offensive weapons. Of course we all love and demand a good defense here, but offense is crucial in today's game and every quality guy you add brings depth and opens things up for everyone else. Defenses will have to pick their poison, most will try to stop Boldin or Ray Rice, but we now have enough guys to make them pay.

How can a D keep Heap, Rice, Boldin, Mason, McClain, Stallworth, a cannon-armed young QB and others down for a whole game, fighting through our solid O-line and Cam's playcalling? I'd be nervous if I were a PIT or CIN fan.

Well I wouldn't count out Clayton , in the slot he can do a lot more damage and be more effective than he was on the outside. I'm glad Ozzie made this moves so he can focus on the draft and go with the Best player available approach, that's the way to build a contender year in and year out.

Check that. Clayton is now our #4 Receiver since we signed Dante Stallworth who will be the #3
I wish someone like Eron Riley or maybe even a rookie was our #4, but oh well. Hopefully Clayton gets beat out from the #4 position.

Dude.. This has to be a Offence to worry about.. I mean look at it Mason, Boldin, Stallworth, Clayton.. Dam i cant wait until Madden get release...lol But serious.. We Finally can say we have an offence but my concern is now leaning towards the secondary esp since we dont know the deal with Ed.

OMG, we are going to run all over Pits now.
I mean we have more then a Holmes and an aging Ward...
Don't forget about Mike Wallace and Heath Miller. I hate to say it but the Ravens don't have better players in similar roles as them.

glad to see that the Ravens' FO isnt blind to the way the league is turning. Its all about offense nowadays.

At this point, I'd rather see Boldin, Mason, Stallworth (who is still an unknown) and Washington (who was clutch on 3rd down) with Clayton battling Williams for the 5th WR spot, if there is one...

Congratulation! Welcome back Mason! It's so totally such an upgrade to our recieving corps with Bolding and Mason, which will open up for other young gunners to fill in other recieving roles.

Well ya because we were just to focus on defense and running game in past decade, and additionally we hadn't focused or successfully drafted or traded better or best WR. Now, we start to emphasize more on our passing game which perfectly compliment our defense and running game. It seems like we possibly metamorphosized into younger version of "Pittsburgh" or even better. If we drafter a star rookie TE then it forms more complete picture of SB contender.

No, you are mistaken. The Ravens current WR group will prove to be head and shoulders above the rest of the AFC North.
Do you realize the Steelers had two 1000 yard receivers? And two others with 700? All with a bad offensive line. To say "head and shoulders" is just plain ignorant.

Thank you for being sensible. As much as I hate the steelers, one can't overlook their playmakers. A Superbowl MVP, a proven vet(Ward), a speedster in Wallace, and a very solid TE in Miller.

well his apologists do, now they don't have much room for it

His numbers speak for themselves. Celebrate the moment - don't make it negative.

What does that say about their running game? The Ravens's receivers won't put up those kinds of numbers simply because we run the ball more and run it with way more success as well. It may not show up on the stat sheets but they WILL be more effective.

Anybody else think we over paid for Mason?
Nope. For what he's done for the team since arriving in 2005 and what he'll likely do the rest of his time, the price was right.

Explain "more effective." You said earlier that they are "hands down the best" in the AFC North. Now, you're switching your argument to "more effective"...whatever that means.

The Colts and Chargers couldn't run the ball at all. Do you think our receivers are "better" than theirs?

His contract is 2 years, $8 million. First year 3.5, second year 4.5.

We save money compared to what he was making, and get (still) one of the best route runners in the game for a good price.

For the quality and reliability Mason and Boldin provide, we got very good deals for the cap hits.

I think Boldin puts our receivers over the top. Stats are misleading because of the lack of balance in the Steelers' offense. Regardless, with Cam's playcalling and our offensive line, plus the potential distraction of Big Ben's legal woes, I'd take our offense fuh sho next year.

Sweet! Now we need to get Reed back, and find a way to get Darren Sharper. Then we can just focus on CB's & Defensive line men. The we really can use the draft for the best avalible players.
