Bannan To Broncos

15 posts in this topic

Opinions? I personally hate to see him go. He was a blue chip player, played well for Gregg in 2008, we had no problems out of him, just a bummer to lose him.

I think this loss makes Baltimore go with a DT in the first round of the draft.

Not a surprising move; he'll at least have a likely shot at starting, even though he played enough snaps here in Baltimore to be considered a starter.

The loss of Bannan at least enables the Ravens to sign a free agent to a similar contract as Bannan's per the Final 8 rule.

Hadn't thought of that. The wheels keep turning. FA is just heating up.

"With Bannan signed Baltimore, a final eight team, can now sign any unrestricted free agent they choose."

I think I saw something about us resigning Lamar Divens for the minimum. Gives us a few options IMO.

Nuts...Bannan was solid for us when Trev was out.

But this frees us up for a FA is Ozzie wants to go that route.

Yeah RavensFan.the Divins resign is on the front page.

Hopefully we can use the rule to get a pass rushing end to free up Sizzle some
or maybe a beast fullback, a Lorenzo Neal style fullback so Leron can let loose like 2008. Everyone is excited about our passing upgrade, imagine or run game improvement. We'll have less people in the box and Boldin is a great physical blocker.

I know what you mean but I don't see the team getting another FB. McClain will only continue to get better as a lead-blocker and he's already proven he can pound the rock if need be.

A pass-rusher would be nice though.

Aaron kampman seems like an Ozzie type signing
[/quote]

The problem with Kampan is he's strictly a 4-3 DE.
