It just seems like one hell of a a leap to compare the two. Maybe if Troy does it for 10 more years but even still I don't see him as the same.

Troy won't go for another 10 years. I wish! But when they're careers are over both will be compared with the historical best at their positions and that is a fact. Ray isn't even the Raven's game changer IMO. That distinction goes to Ed Reed. But Troy changes everything about how our games are played AND executed.

I wouldn't have (nor would Red) compared Troy to Ray otherwise, but some newbie type stated that the Steelers have no comparable players. That's a garbage statement IMO.

Ben is still refusing to talk to cops. Oh Ben do you not want to play football this year... clear your name, talk to the cops and get on with your life. Right now I'm really thinking the part I bolded is true, and that is he is hiding the truth that something in fact happened March 4 in Milledgeville, GA. I hate to think that something did happen, and that this is just one of those another cases this is a gold digger but with Ben not talking it makes me think he is hiding something. I just don't understand why Ben is making this worse by refusing to talk just cooperate with the police and hope your name clears and the NFL won't punish him even further with a suspension.

Court of public opinion means nothing. He's going to do what ever his attorney(s) tell him to do and no one, not even the folks directly involved in the investigation know what or why. Not talking to the Police alone won't prevent them from charging him if the evidence is there. Apparently it isn't.

Ben does have the right to keep quiet, and if our attorney's were instructing us to do so, you bet your little ole hiney that you would do the same... However it would be nice to get something concrete for once to clarify what really happened......

I know a lot of cops and have a few in my family. I have nothing but respect for the occupation. Of course there are always bad ones in with the good ones but that's not what this is about. The job of the police is to find evidence. Their purpose is not to prove or disprove anything.

How do you guys know what the investigation turned up? All you are going off of is speculation... that being said, I also don't think he'll get charged, but we have no clue what the cops' investigation found.

The DA looks at all of this and even if they did have some sort of evidence (not DNA), the outlook is that the D.A. will struggle to get a conviction.

Would they really want to wait until after the weekend to announce that they aren't pressing charges? It'd be like drawing attention to a failure. I think they'll press charges. Couldn't speculate further given that I have no idea what evidence was uncovered by the investigation.
