I think Lord Schefter will Predict the Jacksonville Jaguars. They really have no one behind Garrard.

Don't quote me on it...

But I'm thinking Seattle is the most likely team being they need a QB and have 2 picks. But the Bills are a pretty tempting team as well.

Shipping Ben to an NFC team makes the most sense from a competitive standpoint, so I can definitely see that going down.

The Bills would be intriguing. They had a pretty mean pass defense last season, and if they had something remotely resembling an offense, they might actually do something.

that the Steelers are OPEN to dealing Ben, testing the waters and that something COULD happen today or on draft day. If moved, the Steelers are looking for a top 10.

Jaguars
Bills
San Fransisco
Seattle

I could see one of these teams pulling off a trade. A team looking to rebuild should pass over Big Ben.

And yes, I could see Big Ben going to San Fran. They have two first round picks. They have a defense and offensive threat. They Could really think Ben would win those close games and make a deep playoff run.

Rumors. Most have agreed on the 6/4 suspension.

Rams are not interested in Ben and have pulled out of "the running".

Adam_Schefter Every team that everybody debated for Donovan McNabb is now back in play on Ben Roethlisberger. Same candidates, different QB.

Guys, try and post any news you may have with appropriate links. Rumors or not. Thanks.

It's been a long standing "in the know" on the forums that two of my college friends work for NFL organizations, I am good friends with a Baltimore Radio host and know someone within the Ravens organization- I usually receive news an hour or two before it breaks (if my friends text me, which is usually often AND before there's any links). And I'm rarely wrong.

Track record of posting breaking news > links. Plus 99% of the time I post news before there's links about it (ie: gaither thread I made).

I've been told that Goodell has notified Ben of his suspension and is set to release an official announcement shortly. It's widely believed that he will give a 6 game suspension and mandate Ben MUST seek behavioral counseling that COULD reduce the suspension to 4 games.

EDIT: Flicker you were like 15 seconds faster, didn't know Adam has it up already.

In a sick way I wanted him to return game 4.
Man, seeing what type of reception he would receive from the fans and by the Ravens would have been interesting to say the least.

Wow how easy will it be for them to move him tho if they are trying?
Easy. Ben has the best year of his career last season and he's a 2 time superbowl winning starting QB. Getting a top 10 pick shouldn't be too hard regardless of his off season problems.

If the other team was smart they'd do a conditional trade. IE: 1st for Ben, BUT if Ben screws up and is suspended for a year they receive a pick back which can be as high as a second.

Eight or more would have been an insane amount. Vick only had six originally and he was actually, you know, convicted.

It's been officially released by the NFL:

"Ben Roethlisberger was suspended for six games on Wednesday for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy, the NFL announced.

The Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback also was ordered to undergo a comprehensive behavioral evaluation. Commissioner Roger Goodell will evaluate Roethlisberger's progress before the season and might consider reducing the suspension to four games.

However, a failure to comply with the NFL's ruling might lead to a longer suspension.

Roethlisberger is barred from attending any Steelers offseason activity after Wednesday until he completes the evaluation. He can participate in training camp and preseason games this summer as long as he is cleared by the evaluators and Goodell."

I was just messing with you... and please don't take my asking of a link as a slight to your credibility, but it is standard operating procedure to have some sort of link associated with a report/story, and I had to make a note of it. I hadn't known about your inside sources until you pointed that out. Thanks for sharing! (No sarcasm this time) :)

Not a chance. He will appeal the suspension and odds are it'll be reduced to 4, but he won't slip up.

Essentially, he'll earn tens of millions of dollars to 1) not drink in public or at bars, 2) become best friends with his hand or take a woman on a few dates before showing her Big Ben, 3) Lay on a couch and talk about his life, 4) do what he's always done- win games.

Not right away unless he's even less intelligent than he seems. Of course, some one else could come out and go Andrea McNulty on him again, you never know.

Barring a reduction, Ben won't be suiting up until Week 8 (they have a Week 5 Bye)... Week 6 if it's reduced. That's nuts.
