But at least Dixon practices taking snaps on a consistent basis. El is more likely practicing route running and catching. He's been far removed from the QB position.

I know this maaaaan. lol

No, I welcome both Ben and Troy.
When they do not play there is nothing but belly-aching because of that. I have never heard such hypocrisy as I did last season. Our star players are banged up season after season and we continue on.

Although some guys in here do like to ride the 'referees are against us' bandwagon pretty hard. :P

per adam's twitter page
Adam_Schefter Filed to ESPN: @mortreport and I are reporting that Ben Roethlisberger will be suspended four to six games, with conditions attached.

What sort of conditions would they be talking about.

I am loving at least a 4 game suspension. I hope they make this announcement soon. It's like waiting to open your gifts on Christmas.

Thanks for sharing.

Man, I was expecting 2-4 games. I wonder if Ben will consider this to be "too harsh" and appeal. If he does, I could understand. He'll miss out on a quarter of his salary essentially just for bad publicitity.

here is a link for story
looks like he can get it reduced
When the suspension is announced, it will contain conditions that will allow it to be reduced based on Roethlisberger's behavior and compliance with clinical evaluators.

Layman's terms for clarification and stupidity purposes.

Ben is suspended for 4 games, that will not change. The NFL can raise his suspension to 6 games if they feel he is not seeking clinical help and is not changing his ways.

According to the ESPN article. It will be 4-6 games. And if behavior is good it could be reduced from the amount set.

I'm hoping that it isn't a four game suspension, then after two games of it, it is changed to 3 games. Didn't they do that with Marshall a few years back?

Incorrect, you're not understanding what they're saying- or I'm reading what you're typing wrong.

The suspension will be set at 6 games. If ben seeks the mandated therapy and keeps his head on straight it will be reduced to 4 games, but it can not be reduced below 4 games or raised to more than 6 games (unless he screws up again, obviously).

He will not see the field for 4 games, MINIMUM. That's not a question. Ben will not throw a NFL pass for 4 games regardless of how nice he is and sucks up to the NFL. A maximum of 6 games without new incidents.

The way they wrote the article can be read a couple different ways. But it makes the most sense the way you put it.

But it wouldn't surprise me if he made a comeback before 4 games. Marshall in 2008 was told he was going to have a 3 games suspension that could be reduced to a 2 game suspension if behavior is good. Marshall appealed and ended up getting the suspension to 1 game.

The same thing could happen to Rothlisberger, since he wasn't technically charged. He could appeal the suspension and get a lesser suspension in August.

Correct- it's possible the suspension can be reduced below 4 games if the NFLPA files suit against the NFL for unnecessarily suspending a player who was not officially charged. BUT... considering the allegations and public hanging of Ben... I doubt it'd happen. Odds are it'll be reduced from 6 to 4 and he'll be on the grass come week 5.

THey are trying to trade him for a top 10 pick

1 team is interested and the STEELERS are the ones making the calls, they're being pro-active about dumping him.

Don't quote me on it...

But I'm thinking Seattle is the most likely team being they need a QB and have 2 picks. But the Bills are a pretty tempting team as well.
