Wha? You are expecting more from a Ravens' site?
Kinda like me going into a Ford forum and telling everyone how great my Corvette is.
So you admit that Ben will will always be guilty despite any legal proceedings. Good. EXACTLY my point.

It's a catch-22. You want these guys to act like Baseball gods of olden days. But the problem is, times have changed.

Their is no way possible to stop 20 year old kids from acting out, especially when you are stuffing cash in every pocket they have.
Plus back in the olden days they didnt have TMZ and Star rags and the internet. Who knows what the guys really did back then but it never got out.

Not everyone will be like that :). I can't stand the Steelers(obviously) but he is still innocent until proven guilty. He is guilty of stupid decisions but so many pro athletes are. Hell I am 26 now and I party four times a week if I was in the pros it might be a lot worse so I cant blame these dudes for doing what most people our age do :).

New witness statements acording to PFT: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/04/15/witness-statements-make-bad-situation-worse-for-roethlisberger/
If this is true, Ben has lost every last bit of my respect I had for him (which is alot considering im a Ravens fan) If you have time, read the comments some of them are great!

Intersting read. I also read that the accuser said she got lost trying to find the exit and ended up in the bathroom, so that doesnt go with what her friends said. "A boy kind of raped me" what the heck? How do you get kind of raped?

Do they still make chastity belts? Maybe Rooney can hold the key. Any lucky lady would need to get the key from him first.

According to NFL.com Big Ben is on the trading block.

:link:

"On the trading block?" or "the Steelers will hear offers?" There's a difference.

If the Rams offered the Steelers two first round picks (in the form of this year and next year) like stated earlier... honestly, I'd considered taking the offer. Between his off the field actions and head injuries, Ben's time in the league could be severely constricted, whether it be suspensions or season/career ending injuries. Frankly, it's a pretty good deal for what could be a future headache. If I were Ben, I'd be feeling uneasy seeing as Rooney was "livid" with him. Sure, Rooney said that he'll deal with Roethlisberger after the Draft, so chances of the Rams deal are extremely low, but he could be sitting a few games this year (if he gets hit with a fine, I'll be pissed. A fine is nothing to Roethlisberger). I'd start shaping up and conducting myself in a less disgusting manner if I were Ben though, one more accusation could be his ticket out of Pittsburgh. I won't say the NFL, because I'm sure there will be a team needing a quarterback who will ignore his off the field actions.

Story time though. Big Ben Roethlisberger A-Hole Story of the Night:
Ben used to have a house in a development in my town. My girlfriend's ex-boyfriend's little brother was playing in said development with a friend of his and saw Ben outside cutting the grass. Naturally, the kid goes over and asks him for his autograph. Ben tells him he wants $75, which obviously the kid didn't have. Kid ended up going home crying because he couldn't get an autograph. This was even before Roethlisberger was "big" or a household name in Pennsylvania.

It does the Steelers no harm trading Big Ben. They are at the cusp of rebuilding mode anyways, they already blew up their coaching staff in the offseason. Now would be a great time to create an influx of young players for the Steelers.

If the Steelers were interested in trading Big Ben. They should give a call to the Raiders. They believe they are one great quarterback away from winning the Superbowl.

The more I hear/read, the more I think he's gone; and the more I hope so. The only issue is, has his value gone down. Because his suspension has got to exceed 4 games.

This is getting way out of hand, now we have another case of Ben doing this.

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/04/16/gbi-documents-contain-evidence-of-another-roethlisberger-allegation/
The 572 pages of documents released on Thursday by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation likely contain plenty of useless and irrelevant stuff. But, apparently, the materials contain some interesting information that could make things even more difficult for Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.

Buried in an item in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution regarding the newly-available materials appears reference to an "unsubstantiated allegation" that a "drunken Roethlisberger" made an "unwanted advance" at another Milledgeville-area woman on an unspecified date during a party at Roethlisberger's house in the area.

Per the GBI information, Roethlisberger allegedly pulled down his pants and told the woman she could "do whatever she wants." A week later, he allegedly forced his hand up the same woman's skirt.

I'm surprised that Ben doesn't whip it out of his pants as touchdown celebrations on the field? He obviously has issues thinking everyone wants to see his hog.

"Do whatever you want" with that.

I don't think the vast majority would be satisfied with anything less than a year out for Ben now, but I still don't think it'll happen.

I have to agree with what flynismo said in here or in another thread.
Victims don't typically come out of the wood work until a later time.
Doesn't anyone watch Forensics Science? These guys get away with stuff for years until someone seriously gets hurt, or worse.
Then all these other stories come about from people that were just too scared to previously say anything.

I still shake my head at Big Ben supporters. But hey, I saw someone wearing a Vick jersey a month ago too. :34853_shakehead:
okay.... so what you're saying is no matter what the "victims" are lying

because oh about 8 months ago.... there was a girl who accused Ben of rape about a year after the alleged incident happened..... we all thought it was bologna due to the length of time it took to happen....

now you're somewhat saying this girl is lying because she called it in too quick?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I didn't know there was a set time you are supposed to call something in if you're a victim

BUT he got charged. The only real offence Ben has commited in the eyes of the league is tarnishing it's reputation, and they'd have a hard time sticking a 6-8 game suspension (never mind anything longer), even though everyone knows it's deserved.

Come to think of it, has anyone heard one person speak out on Roethlisberger's behalf? I mean, when Donte's thing went down he had various ex-teammates and such saying how he was a good person and that this was out of character and whatever. Mike Vick had an incredible amount of support from fellow athletes considering what he did, hell I think even pacman had a few sympathisers. But I can't remember hearing one iota of defence from anyone with regards to Ben. Even the team and teammates in the early stages, the Tahoe case, remained non-committal.

Oh I know the Rams "offer" is more than likely nothing but a rumor, because I don't see why they wouldn't have taken the offer on the spot or in a day or two (at most) if they were seriously given the offer. However, the Steelers are open to trading Ben, you can read that on any football website or sports network.

Oh I admit Dave, it's touchy and there are gray areas. But morally, what Ben did was worse. Who needs the bigger lesson: Ben or Santo?
