Marshall To Seahawks

154 posts in this topic

Yeah, we can't compete with a Top 10 pick that Seattle has... so sad. We better get Boldin or we will continue to come up short when it counts.

Well they have a meeting tomorrow. Its over folks. The ravens just aren't meant to have a great wide out I guess...

Now we just have to go after Boldin. I'm not upset for not going after Marshall, doesn't matter to me. I'll only have problems if we don't pursue Boldin and we keep Clayton and Mason. I'll flip out.

Problem with Broncos losing Marshall is they now will lock up Dez Bryant at first opportunity- and my guess is they might pursue Golden Tate as well.

Ravens dropped the ball big time and my guess is we'll see pretty much the same receiving corps on the field next season.

Man, I hope someone like Shipley or Demaryius Thomas or Benn can come in here and be a huge impact.

This is unbelievable and if true I will be absolutely livid throughout the entire 2010-2011 season. Completely unacceptable for the front office to hold onto our precious 25th overall pick and not pursue a Top 5 WR when he is tendered relatively low. Our #1 will be Stallworth next season, that's just fantastic. Pull the damn trigger somewhere. No receiver in the draft comes close to Marshall's talents, and that fact can not be argued.

what has he done recently
Who cares if he hasn't done anything "recently"? Pacman Jones hasn't been arrested recently but does that mean he's not likely to screw up again?

Marshall's antics in training camp show he's still very immature.

like has already been said, it wouldnt have matter if we pushed for Marshall anyway. We can't compete with Seattle's draft pick. Maybe the Ravens got wind of Seattle's interest and thats why their interest waned...they decided to devote their resources to other options that would still be possible.

If and when Marshall has another 100+ reception. 10+ TD season with that awful Seattle team, all of the Marshall haters in here will need to eat some serious crow.

I gave you +1 to negate the -1! But yeah people are just buying into the Harbaugh BS talk and the whole Wizard of Oz/IN Ozzie we trust thing. I hate to see this team fail because of the front office not pulling the trigger. There is not a WR in the first 2 round who will make a huge difference next year. Why give Clayton and Williams another chance? Its been what, 5 years?!

Im not gonna stop being fan, but Im just gonna have to wait for Ozzie or Harbaugh to leave to fully enjoy this organization if they go into this season with the Clayton and Williams as our GO TO GUYS. I mean I'll just have to lower my expectations knowing that Flacco will be average QB cuz he wont ever have weapons unless they are clear cut character filled 2nd string quality players. Does Harbs remember telling Ray Rice that he was gonna give him and Joe weapons? Cuz if these are the weapons you gave them, you just gave them knives to a gun fight.

I mean atleast get Bryant, and a 3rd for Boldin is chump change!

More like bringing a SPORK to a gun fight.

I don't want to answer a question that wasn't for me, but I don't think he is being a "fake fan". This is all out of frustration. The Seahawks aren't even a contender WITH Marshall. Come on guys, this is a once in a lifetime chance. How many 25 year old Pro Bowl Wide Recievers come along for JUST a 1st? Be realistic now. This IS our number one need no matter how you put it. Why do you think our RB led our team with receptions? Nobody can get seperation from even the 2nd tier DB's in the league. Mark Clayton is horrible. Demetrius Williams' chances should't even be a factor anymore, he should be cut. Kelley Washington is most likely out and we don't even know about Mason yet. Wow, great job helping out Flacco! Now you have teams all over the place making their rosters better, while we sit around and do what? Wait for the draft? I haven't even heard a word from our front office about who we "are so close to signing." I don't know, I guess I just don't get it or understand. I know they aren't trying to make the team "worst" or the same", but at least make a move.

I love how no is taking into account the players the Ravens will have to re-sign in the coming years. Trading and signing for Marshall would be great but what about Ngata after next year, Gaither needs to be locked up and Flacco and Rice two years from now.

And it's even more ridiculous how people truly believe Clayton and Williams will be starters next year.

After all this organization has done and all the success they've achieved, not pursuing one big-name WR makes them inept? I don't think so.

Whelp, even with him getting suspended all those times he still put up 3 consecutive 100 reception seasons, over 1,000 yards a season, and a total of 23 touchdowns. Maybe Ray Rice can be that guy for us because there is no one else for Joe to throw to.

Still a chance we can get Boldin and still draft a receiver in the draft though. That's still pretty good.

Damn, it's such a bad news. Well, I hope FO and Ozzie are really pursuing Bolding and Walker cuz if those two are slipped away, we have nothing but to draft college WR who needs couple years to develop, and it's just depressing that those newly drafted are holding us back for SB run.

Once being a Ravens fan, forever be one. Look at the Redskins fan, they suck all years but fans are still sticking up for it and hope for the best.

However, our coach and GM would definitely know what they desperately need that this time, so sit back and hope for the best.

News flash: TO, Anquan Boldin and others are still out there. And the draft also. Don't go thinking that Marshall is the only one who can fill the need and get us over the top. Now I will be mad if we bring Clayton and Williams back, but until then, there's nothing to be pissed about.

No what makes them "inept" is not ever having a number 1 receiver since we became the Ravens in '96. What makes them "inept" is promising your young RB and QB to give them weapons for next year and you sit back and watch as Burleson and Marshall get signed away and dont even try and lock down Boldin or Bryant.

The only logical thing for me to add is, they must be willing to draft a WR in the first. Though, we all thught that last year too.

You can call me what you want but I'll be surprised if the Seahawks sniff the play-offs.

And why would anyone have to eat crow? No is denying his productivity. It's the financial and off-the-field issues that are the reasons he won't be a Raven.

This team needs to either commit to IMPROVING this offense ( PLAYMAKER) or just spend all the dam money on the defense and hope Ray Rice's knees don't explode by year 4. If this is the case, get a REAL Corner and a Real PASS RUSHING D--lineman. If that's the philosphy of this team, FINE... so be it but damn it' frustrating to have whispers of getting better on offense and then NOT doing it.
