I'm not sure whether he's suited for the starting role, but he would be an upgrade at Nickel. I wasn't much of a fan of Fabian, especially at around $2.5 million last year. Assuming Lito would come at a bargain price, anybody else considering this a plausible idea?

The Ravens won't go after him. The only CBs I see the Ravens getting in the off-season will be through the draft.

Lito is washed up anyway. No reason to pay him to play a position several CBs on the roster are already serviceable at.

As much as I would love to see Leigh as a Raven, the market for CBs seems fairly thin. I have a bad feeling that another team will overpay him. Lito would still be a decent option if we don't make a move for Bodden, especially and hopefully if Fabian or Walker aren't brought back. I would still wish to see us draft a CB in the early rounds.

No Leigh Bodden?

Bodden is an option but he may garner attention from other teams looking for a solid veteran CB and I'm not sure if Ozzie will shell out the cash to sign him.

Fabian will be back. The Ravens placed a 1st round tender on him and no team will pick that up.

I think Frank "Mr.Play-offs" Walker will be back too.

I like Fabian a lot. I don't know why they would do a first round tender on him. I guess because they know how few quality dbs are floating around the league and will shell out a lot to half-decent player. But ya, in 2008 I really liked how Fabian was playing, remember all the John Cena face waves? I think if he can put some more weight and strength and play more physical he would be top 15 in the league.

As long as "Mr. Playoffs" doesn't sniff the starting lineup until the playoffs, then I'm fine with that.

Otherwise, there's something strange about a guy playing horribly for the first half of the season and then stepping up in a big way in the second half, two years in a row.

I thought him being released was very interesting also, especially with all the attention he got last off-season from these boards. As much as I thought this years Free Agency was going to do nothing for the Ravens it is turning out to be plenty of options out there to fill any holes that we have.

Yep. If the team drafts a CB or two and the other CBs stayhealthy, Frank won't have to see the field.
