Whoa, whoa, whoa. He didn't try to recruit anyone to try and "jump" Ray Lewis. Ray Lewis made a comment about him having gotten shot in Denver (as an innocent by-stander) and Porter called him out on it at that moment and THEN chased after him post game and Ray wouldn't come off the bus.

Ray was smart not to come off the bus. There was no point in getting into a fight with Mr.Popcorn Muscles and hurting him.

What exactly did Ray say? Did he bring up Porter getting shot for no reason? I could be wrong but I don't think Ray has ever talked trash off the field just to do it. Porter likely said something first. He's never been afraid to talk smack unprovoked before.

And I didn't mean Ray would beat up Porter alone had he got off the bus. Other Ravens would have got off the bus too and Joey definitely would have been in trouble.

Don't tell me the Ravens players and their fans wouldn't have gotten excited if the situation was reversed. Peazy likes to talk. That's no secret, but it doesn't make him automatically wrong.

Porter took offense to Ray imitating his celebration and possibly jawing at him. LOL! He talks non-stop and people don't cry about being disrespcted.

T.O. imitated Ray's celebration right in front of him. I don't remember Ray making a stink about it.

And nothing Ray did excuses Porter trying to go after him.

Not really. I'm not some blind homer. Had Ray made those comments over something as trivial as a celebration imitation, I wouldn't have thought it was cool.

I was actually relating the story as told off-hand by Jerome Bettis during an appearance on NFL Network a few years back. This was after Porter became a free agent and signed with the Dolphins, I believe. Bettis said he didn't wanna get involved.

Ray Lewis didn't make a public comment about it, but Anthony Weaver and a couple other teammates said that he was furious and those same teammates saw it as a huge sign of disrespect, especially in light of the messy trade situation before the start of that season.

The "key" to me is that Ray-Ray started something and then put his tail between his legs when he was called out on it. And he DOES go whining in public about the officials CONSTANTLY so quit fooling yourself.

As for him talking about the refs, he was justified. Most people who cover the NFL and watch it would agree. Anyone who watched that game knows the refs made two b.s. calls and likely wouldn't have made them had it not been Brady. Trent Dilfer on ESPN did a segment the next day showing various NFL QBs not named Brady getting pile-driven, hit in the head and abused only for the refs not to make the call.

Calling out the refs(as I've heard your boy Troy Polamlu do before) is different from crying a player disrespected you.

I know Ray has a big mouth and there are even times when he's a drama-queen. But just because I won't compare him to Porter doesn't mean I'm a homer.

To your last statement bring up one example where Ray said another player disrespected him publicly in regards to something that happened on the field.

No. I won't bother and here's why: It would be a waste of my time because you'll make up more garbage excuses and ways to twist it. I'm not that stupid. Besides, while there is no question in my mind that he has publicly addressed being disrespected by someone I was referring to his thriving on the whole respect/disrespect thing. Google it yourself if you don't believe me.

All NFL players talk about being disrespected for various reasons. Ray did it when Jerome Bettis said Takeo Spikes was just as good as him and he's likely done it dozens of other times. However, I've never heard of Ray talking about disrespected on the field because no has been foolish enough to do it and it's not something NFL players do(at least most of them).

What exactly am I being a homer about? Instead of labeling me, read what I've written down. Ray doesn't moan and complain about crap that happens on the field. However, he, like a lot of NFL(and college) players, will complain about refs and bring up being disrespected to the media. Was I wrong in saying that? Am I wrong lying in saying Porter talks more trash off the field then Ray? Am I wrong in saying Porter was wrong in going after Ray?

LOL! So when exactly did Ray make a comment about Porter being shot? In Porter's words, all Ray did was imitate him and deliver the requisite "This is my house!" line.
