Deangelo Hall To The Ravens?

96 posts in this topic

D. Hall is an excellent DB. Sure he is a little disgruntle, but who can really blame him, with the horrible season that Atlanta had. Bobby Petrino gave up on that team way before he left the team.

I do not know how he would fit in B-more. We definitley need help in that area, but not at that price tag.

I dont think he would come here.

It would be the same with all the other players who didnt want to play for a losing team anymore. They always went to teams they were sure to make the playoffs.

I think he will go to the Patriots or Cowboys... always the same

Would you be mad if the Ravens were able to pick up disgruntled Atlanta Falcons cornerback DeAngelo Hall in the offseason?

According to a story on NFL.com, Hall refuses to be a part of another losing season, essentially saying he'd want out of Atlanta if the Falcons do not have a good offseason, which includes bringing in a head coach that meshes well with the team.

Should the Falcons not rise up to Hall's expectations, would you be angry if the Ravens were to pick up a so-called "malcontent"? After all, Hall has had a history of publicly criticizing the Falcons organization for their miscues, and has had a history of behavioral issues.

I, for one, wouldn't mind DeAngelo Hall coming to the Ravens. Although he's had some attitude problems, his swagger fits right in with the demeanor that embodies Baltimore football. He's still young and has a lot of potential, and could turn out to be a coup for us like Willis McGahee, who also had "behavioral problems" in Buffalo during his departure from the Bills.

Also, this would add depth to our secondary, and provide a legitimate insurance policy, should Samari Rolle and Chris McAlister remain on the sidelines next season with injuries again. In addition, drafting a corner with the first round pick and pairing him with Hall would give us a glimpse of what our defensive backfield could be in the near-future.

Thoughts if this were to happen?

Another cornerback is the least of our problems besides we need a beast on our team not a baby what we have to worry about now is where can we get another wide receiver. Don't get me wrong Derrick Mason is decent but we need better. So forget Deangelo Hall.

Don't like the idea of Hall, especially after watching him melt down and singlehandedly drive Carolina down the field in that one game. Think it was something like 60 yards of penalties in one drive.

Though I have to admit, if Steve Smith can get under his skin that much, it would be awesome to watch Hall explode the first time Hines Ward helmet-to-helmets him.

How about Bart Scott single handedly giving us no shot in hell at a come back win against the Pats. He cost us like 30 yards in penalties.

Right. That's the kind of stuff the team needs less of.

I still think that having vets like Ray and Ed with him would help keep his ego in check, just look at what it did to Willis having McNair and JO in the locker room with him. Yhey even did better by having Willis's locker by Ray's to let the vet leader keep him in line. With vets who have resumes in hand to shut up young loudmouth players then they step in line and feel confident that they will have their cares heard by the leaders of the defense.

In Atlanta they don't really have a vet leader who could speak with experience for the rest of the team after everything they'd gone through. Having Pro Bowlers like MacAlister, Reed, and Rolle in the secondary will humble Hall enough for him to learn something anc could let him grow into a solid shutdown type corner like C-Mac is.

I argee 2 this guy would fit in great with the Ravens. I don't care about his attitude with Ray and Ed there they will keep him straight. Think about it Hall and McAlister on the outside and Rolle on the slot. We get him we wounldn't have 2 waste our 1st pick on a DB.

yea...im sure that he will be looked at by alot of teams and what not....considering how Tank Johnson and Terrell Owens were looked at AND picked up by the cowboys.....(and now they are team players apparently)...guess anything could happen but As for Hall and the Ravens.....highly un-likely...plus i would think that there would be a constant battle between Ray and Hall on the sideline, leading to distraction and things we most certainly dont need

I still wouldn't mind him coming here. He has a lot of passion for the game. I don't think he'll be complaining about the owners here. There first priority is defense, and I'm pretty sure a defensive player loves that.

And him and Ocho Cinco meeting twice every year should be fun.

Hall on chances of Atlanta return: 'Slim to none'

"I'll go anywhere," he said. "Anywhere that wants me."

As for the time frame of when he expects to get traded, he admitted he was unsure but hoped it was sooner rather than later.

prolly not, first and foremost we have our main priorities set in place in the players we want to retain and keep on this team for the future, and in doing so we are more focused on re-signing those players FIRST before moving on to other players around the league and "out on the street" in the Free Agency market.

He is a rare talent. You can always change a attitude and his speed would fit in our defensive scheme very well. Mcallister is getting old and is slowly losing a step but with his experince he could turn Hall into the leagues top cover corner. If we pass on Hall then a CB is a must in the early rounds of the Draft.

True we do need younger more athletic players that can contribute to this team overall in the long and short run of things and seeing how Hall would be a likely canadiate in which we could see Flerish in this system we have here in Baltimore simply because of what he (Hall) can bring to the table for a certain teama and its players......i could see him having a stellar career here in Baltimore but the age old deal of "attitude" i think will always come into play for anyone you may hear, i mean because i ALWAYS hear it, you should have heard it, players and coaches have said or heard it "this players attitude, really contributes to how well this team gels together and plays continuall well week in and week out....." abd blah blah blah. so his attitude will have SOME part in determining whether we or another team that could be interested in him.
