Hmm. More like $11.50 I think. It was 1200 points.

I heard a lot of the people who got the maps the night it came out weren't able to play online. Anyone else hear about this?

That's not as bad but still pretty overpriced for 3 maps imo

I'd say like 7.50-8.50 at worst would be relatively high... but priced about right

Well, it's more than three maps. Plus the old ones. And playing the old ones with the new gear is still fun. I missed overgrown and crash.

MW2 > BFBC2.

In all seriousness, they are awesome. One of them is seemingly endless (for now). It's a Condo Complex.

Okay, you want my one complaint? You can't just play TDM with the new maps. You have to subject your self to a mixed bag of TDM, Domination, Demolition, etc. However, I've still had a lot of fun with those. Although demolition has always aggravated me, it IS worth more points.

This rift between Infinity Ward and Activision will only get bigger with the public comments that have come out in the past week or so. The title of the DLC (the Stimulus Package) has been interpreted by IW and the internet gaming community as a smarmy reference to the ridiculous price for such little real content, and Activision keeps trying to defend itself by saying they're only pricing what they see fit and it's not their fault that not everyone sees the value of the content the way they do.

This has sparked an even larger debate over the ethics of DLC and the different types of DLC that developers make (locked on-disc content vs. intentionally-excluded content vs. unique content, etc.)

Two more key departures from Infinity Ward last night: IGN.com

With the Lead Software Engineer and the Lead Designer gone (both having been with the developer since 2002), this doesn't bode well for the rest of the development team. I really fear that Modern Warfare 3 will be a huge critical disappointment.

Meh. That could have the impact you predict, or conversely, it could be a good thing. Either way, nothing lasts forever.

I'm assuming that it is "Live Enabled" if so you could probably press the home button on your keyboard, and something will appear and I believe there is a "store" option there

but I'm not 100% sure because I have it for the 360.... however that is my guess

Remember the 2 guys that were fired from atop of Infinity Ward by Activision?

Bad news for Infinity Ward & Activision......... they're back...... and with a fairly big sized rival
Earlier today former Infinity Ward heads Jason West and Vince Zampella announced their new development studio Respawn Entertainment. The pair has a fresh deal with EA Partners, which is Electronic Arts' third-party development program. We talked to the duo -- along with David DeMartini, senior vice president and general manager of EA Partners -- about their new studio and direction, as well as Activision.

We can see the business class case study on Activision now: "In retrospect, threatening your employees and withholding their rightfully earned bonuses may not be the best course of action when dealing with your most talented studio." The list of veteran developers resigning from prized studio Infinity Ward continues to expand in the wake of Activision's strong-armed negotiation tactics, with a few more defections being reported by Kotaku.

To put things into perspective, here is the list of senior staff IW members who have walked away in the aftermath of the Jason West and Vince Zampella firings thus far:

Francesco Gigliotti - lead engineer

Jon Shiring - engineer

Rayme Vinson - engineer

Todd Alderman - lead designer, writer

Steve Fukuda - lead designer, writer

Mackey McCandlish - lead designer, writer

Zied Reike - lead designer, writer

Chris Cherubini- lead artist

Mark Grigsby - lead animator, lead rapper

Paul Messerly - lead animator

None of the refugees have stated where they plan to work next, but we can wager one good guess. Good luck, boys. Stay frosty.
I just recently found out that one of my favorite gaming companies is "in bed" with Activision now.... which makes me particularly sick if I decide to buy the upcoming game.... but I really don't think I can support a company that think it's alright to do this bull**** to people
Today Kotaku has confirmed five more developers that have left the Activision-owned studio that created the mega-hit Call of Duty franchise and, more recently, the Modern Warfare spin-off. This time the list includes senior designer Mohammad Alavi, senior designer Chad Grenier, programmer Chris Lambert, designer Jason McCord., and senior designer Brent McLeod. On top of those five, George Broussard of 3D Realms has said on his Twitter account that two more have left, including Charlie Wiederhold, bringing today's total departures to seven.

Meanwhile, G4 is reporting that, as expected, a large number of the ex-Infinity Ward team is heading over to work at West and Zampella's new studio, Respawn Entertainment. According to the frequent updates from G4, the following team members are now confirmed to be with Respawn:

Todd Alderman (lead designer)
Mark Grigsby (lead animator)
Chris Cherubini (lead environmental artist)
John Paul Messerly (lead animator)
Rayme C. Vinson (software engineer)
Jon Shiring (programmer)
Mackey McCandlish (lead designer)

"Activision owes my clients approximately $75 million to $125 million dollars," said Issacs, "Activision has withheld most of the money to force many of my people to stay, some against their will, so that they would finish the delivery of Modern Warfare 3. That is not what they wanted to do. Many of them. My clients' entitled to their money. Activision has no right to withhold their money - our money."

Hickey added, "We expect Infinity Ward studio will be essentially closed after their next map pack release, with development work on Modern Warfare 3 spread between two studios not historically tied to the franchise." Surely you jest, sir! Activision wouldn't run a franchise into the ground by handing it to another developer and making them release endless sequels.
