Jets To Release Lito Sheppard

Just got an espn mobile text saying that the Jets will release CB Lito Sheppard,who is due 10 million roster bonus on or before March 10

That is the most ridiculous roster bonus I've ever heard for a guy who wasn't even a full-time starter. No wonder he got released...

...though I wonder how he got that bonus negotiated to begin with.

No, Im pretty sure for the most part he was just a nickle/ dime package kind of guy with them.


That being said I think he would be an upgrade over Carr and Ivy [img]http://boards.baltimoreravens.com/public/style_emoticons/default/34853_shakehead.GIF[/img] and I mean we dont know when Fabo and Webb are going to be back. It would have to depend on the price tag. Plus Harbs did coach him in Philly.

Can Sheppard stay healthy, though? That was one of the big knocks on him and the reason why I was initially opposed to him coming to Baltimore last year. I have no idea if he stayed healthy last year and I'm too lazy to research it right now.

Ya former I cant remember if he was All Pro, or just a pro bowler in 05, but he played like David Pittman for the Jets this year. Speaking of Pittman....Warden whats up with that signing?

He [u]was[/u] good with the Iggles. Not sure what happened to him. He was a non-factor for the Jets, but I'm still curious to see if he has any game left.
