Weekly Espn Picks

16 posts in this topic

As I usually do every week, here are ESPN's "Experts" Picks:

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/features/talent

Here's an interesting note, Jaws was the only one who picked the Dolphins last week and is the only one to pick the Ravens this week.

Here's also the Madden simulation:

I'm actually worried that it has us winning, that's usually when we lose.

The Madden simulation has us winning every week, so thats nothing new. Plus I'm sure Matt Hasselbeck is going to have

A LOT more than 201 yards.

I'm surprised anyone picked us this week on ESPN.

I'm surprised anyone picked us this week on ESPN.

Especially with a 3rd string quarterback in.

EDIT- I said back, not quarterback...

Who knows, he might 1 up everyone else with that pick.

As I said before, he did last week by picking the Dolphins

hey, anything is possible in this day and agree....this is football and in saying that..nothing comes easy, nothing comes without struggle. But i truly believe that we have the players necessary in order for us to win these last 2 games of the season. i mean who cares really, about whether or not the Player is not a BIg name player like Randy Moss and whoever else....there are alot of other "under-chimed" athlete's on numerous teams that Have proven their own worth to their teams, just not on a National Televised Manner/fashion. and its the little things that each player does, that helps their team out and everything....i think we do have the players necessary, they Dont ALL have to be these Big name play makers because, its however their internal drive is programmed at the current moment.....any and ALL players out therre in this league has the potential to become a Threat with the football....they just have to prove it to the team and their teammates...not neccessarily the whole NFL.

its not up to the fans perspective to say whether or not a particular player is "any good" and what not. i think its more so up to the Player themselves, and for them believeing in their ability to get the job done and done well that will matter the most to the team and the coaches..obviously the team and the coaches see something in the guy that they feel can benefit this team very very well and they believe he can use his overall athletic talent in order to show case it in the proper manner

i personally feel as though he sees what kind of talent this team has..and really see's the type of calibur team on both offense AND defense. and he see's that we are a pretty good team, its just that we havent been able to showcase our fullest potential and our abilities to the standard we know they could of been at. but like i said earlier...this team has the necessary talent to do so, and with the up and coming younger players on this team, whom have already been making their prescence known on this team both on and off the field and inside the locker room, All developing accordingly and are semmingly ahead of schedule OR right on time with everything they are doing, its only a matter of time before this whole team (offense and defense) get's its swagger back and they are able to get back to the things we know they/we are capable of doing out on the field.

Is Ray Lewis's replacement any good?

Nick grieson, NIMO. As I said in another thread, I'd prefer to see barnes play there or, even better, rotate jarett to ILB and have barnes cover jarett.

teams with players who know their roles win games, not superstars with big egos! this team has very good team players that have been decimated by injuries. you can't get upset and start pointing fingers at people when your team is losing with mainly 2nd and 3rd stringers out there. instead of trashing them, we should be looking for signs of potenetial for next year. i have a feeling we won't be responding about who's playing QB, or head coach decisions because the record could very well be reversed this time next season!

Is Ray Lewis's replacement any good?

Greisen is no Ray Lewis -- in their most recent full seasons, Ray has twice the tackles. But then who knows...he could have a really good game.

i personally that He hasnt been given the right/proper opportunity to showcase his overall talents and what exactly he has to offer the defense and this organization. and i feel as though....ANY athlete/player IF given the right chance to prove themselves worthy of being on the team. and once they get that chance/shot...its up to them to find the right way to help his team and himself (overall) in both the long as well as Short run of things....its up to the player himself to see how he utilizes his talents and skills to the best of their abilites and are able to benefit this team as a whole overall.
