Id rather have flaccos mentality than anyone elses in the NFL, hell even peyton pouts when things arent going his way

p.s. MY 1000th POST!!! and it only took me just about 3 years haha

Peyton throws his Oline under the bus and even blamed his kicker. Flacco takes hit after hit and we dont hear nothing from him during the press conference. Our kicker misses a big kick and we dont hear Flacco throwing him under the bus.

Wth. 2 months after the end of the season and posts like this come out.
Gimme a break.
He was throwing off his back foot due to a season incurred injury and he didn't get his knickname Joe Cool by acting like a pouting baby.
We have enough personalities on our team.
And talks of TO possibly coming...... :(

No, I still remember Flacco throwing it up 100 yards into the air last season

Regardless, last season his deep ball was praised as very good. I watched both seasons too, and there was a clear difference. He got hurt, it's as simple as that.

The only time I remember last year hitting his receiver in stride was Clayton's mad one handed grab and the one to Clayton in the Browns game when he fell down

Every other time, the receiver had to slow down to catch it (Off the top of my head, Figurs catch in Houston, Clayton in Jags game, Mason in Skins game, and a few more that I can't think of right now)

Okay come on now. He threw off his back foot because he was pressured or he had time but he didnt throw it up and hope for the best like Favre would do and eventually was pressured because no one was open. And also
Joe is not the leader on this team. He is a leader but I believe everyone knows that Ray Lewis is the leader on this team. He is the one that does the chance and brings the emotion to the table. Of course everybody plays a part in this but ussually every team has only one leader like Lewis wether its a Qb like Manning, Brees, or Brady, or even a defensive player like Ray.

Sometimes that's the way you want to throw it. Whatever, think what you want, I'm just stating the fact that his deep ball was often praised last season.

it seems like everytime a Flacco thread gets buried another one starts back up. The same things get said in every thread. I guess this can be expected until there is something to actually talk about.

I can't believe how many people are getting caught up in the Mark Sanchez hype machine. Everybody was ready to crucify him halfway through the season until they somehow squeaked into the playoffs. Don't get me wrong, Sanchez will be a good quarterback. But I don't think he'll ever be a GREAT quarterback. Sanchez found defenders more often than he found the red zone this year. And it isn't as if too much was being asked of him- the Jets had possibly the best running game and defense in the league. Joe Flacco had a similar situation in Baltimore- but he also didn't throw 20 interceptions.

Flacco is Joe Cool and he'll be a great QB, you don't need to be a drama queen to be a leader. I think you'll all see that next year, when we get him some new weapons to play with.

IMO: I think Flacco has one of the best arms in the NFL and when his deep ball develops a bit and he recovers from his injuries we'll be putting up huge chunks of yardage if we get a legitimate deep threat (not just Stallworth haha).

I remember all of those plays you just mentioned. However, I also remember getting very frustrated seeing Joe constantly OVERthrowing his receivers on the deep ball in 08. I tend to get mad at the receivers for that, for not being able to adjust to their new QBs ridiculous armstrength, and not having enough speed. It shows a lack of chemistry between Joe and his receivers, and it is one huge reason why I want a complete WR clean-out this offseason.

Stallworth is good in the slot, but also has the speed to get downfield and catch those very deep passes. (At least that was the case before missing an entire year). I think he'll be one hell of an addition if he has enough chemistry with Joe

Flacco was looking good for the first 5 games of the season. Then we went ultra-conservative and started running the ball more and throwing checkdowns. It looks like he was coached to do that. We were putting up high-octane numbers until everyone started clamoring for us to "Run the Ball" and play "Smash-Mouth Football." What we had was balance, no one wants to see a Raven team that can kill you land or air. We can't let defenses key in on Rice next year, we need to open up the playbooks and schemes if we plan to succeed, REGARDLESS of how many big names we do or do not bring in this offseason.

I like Flacco a lot, I'm just hoping we don't limit him and his natural talents.
