Papelbon: My Dog Ate The World Series Ball!

23 posts in this topic

This is not football news, but I thought it was too good to pass up, just for laughs!!!

Jonathan Papelbon, closer for the Boston Red Sox, says he put the World Series winning baseball on his kitchen counter, and his bulldog somehow got up on the counter, got the ball, and chewed it to shreds.

There had been some recent controversy about where the ball got to. Now we know why, ROFL!!!

How funny is that??? Any comments from the "Peanut Gallery"???

Just though it was too funny to pass on... Just a little Holiday cheer... It's been a little slow on here today.

After all, we are all sports fans in general on here right?

Not to mention a homerun ball branded with an asterisk.

Ain't sports history great???!!! Regarding the ball with the asterisk, the reason it has one is not great. But that sports is reflective of this crazy thing we call life, IS great.

Yeah, that's what I meant to say! ;)

there always seems to be some sort of comedic level in, not just one level of Sports but at ALL levels.....and its those that draw people's attention to it and makes them listen/watch it more.

That's a good one. If I ever start a business, I'll use that when my employees ask for their paychecks.

or get a really big dog and when anyone asks for their paycheque (< thats how we roll In the UK) have the dog eat them. I doubt anyone'll request payment anymore.

Would the dog be eating the payCHECK or the employee?

I call it American. I speak American when I order my Freedom Toast with a side of Freedom Fries. It's kind of gross, but I feel so patriotic eating it.

weird how this thread started off talking about a dog eating my baseball, and is now, well where it is. we really do go off topic...

But we have fun doing it. And I guess it's alright considering we are in the Off-Topic section anyway.
