Pursuit Of Perfection

25 posts in this topic

what's up with ESPN keeping the pursuit of perfection headline on the bottom of the screen? i understand that this could be history, but this has been on the screen for weeks now!! there have been a handful of teams to start the season with double digit wins before suffering a loss and i don't remember anywhere near this much attention for any of them! why don't they just give them the Lombardi trophy now cause it seems as if they've already been crowned by the media!

That's for the potential future FB fans. They already have us hooked so what's it matter if the content we're looking for isn't there? It's all about the benjamins!

Well, although many teams have started with double digit winning records. Only one has won 14 in a row before the pats did it. So as much as I hate to say it, it is well deserved. Weather you hat them or love them, you have to admit they are one of the greatest teams ever.

i want them to lose in the play-offs....where its "One and done"...meaning no second chances and their season is done with....for now...

well, now that they have beaten my eagles and since i was rooting for the ravens to beat them and that didn't work out, i guess it would be kinda cool to witness history. better believe if they play the dallas cowgirls in the supe, i'm cheering hard for the pats!

It would be nice to see the Pats and Pacs in the superbowl.

If that happened I wonder how many times the word Gunslinger would be used. I'd say enough times to make me shove an ice pick through my eardrums.

but if they dont say it on every completion or interception, then people tuning in late might not be aware that he is, in fact, a gunslinger, and that would be a great tragedy...

we'd be in for a great superbowl! last year's was o.k, but the steelers-seahawks was the most boring supe i can recall witnessing! the last good one was the eagles-pats. pats-packers would get ratings through the roof!

The last 2 Superbowls were lackluster. First we saw our most hated rival win it all. Than we saw the hated Colts (who beat us on there way) win the SB.

i think the only Superbowl that was well deserved ( at least in my mind) is the first one back in '01......because there was no hype to Brady and no hype to any 16-0 perfect season BS....just plain football talk and people were questioning on whether or not Brady could do it and im sure that alot of people were thinking along the lines of "oh no....here we go....there goes our season" type of thing

The best Super Bowl I've ever seen that clinched my interest in football was the Patriots & Panthers at the end of the '03 season.

I don't remember who I was rooting for (probably the Panthers), but frankly, I didn't care. That game was back-and-forth, and went right down to the final whistle. That was football the way it SHOULD be played.

It was a great game yesterday. The Giants gave it there all, but it wasn't enough to end the perfect season.

I watched the Giants-Patriots game beside a Patriots fan. Dumb move. I heard the word "dynasty" approximately 873 times in a 3-hour span.

lol cocky some fans tend to get when their teams play that way....they think they know all and own everybody, and everyone is below them.....not the case, we are all human here and all bleed the same way.....sooner or later the Patriots will be at the bottom of the pile once more just give it time and everyone will see that.
