Corrupt Xbox 360 Admin

Google: "Corrupt Xbox 360 Admin" and watch the video. This guy is a real loser (the Admin, that is). I hope he loses his job.

Even if the particular video was heavily edited to make it one-sided, the Mod/Admin/whatever stepped over the boundaries of his job by acting in such a manner. Even though we Mods here shouldn't and don't take abuse, that doesn't mean that we're allowed to step over the line just because someone else did. Two wrongs don't make a right.

This guy messed up big time. "I'll make it my mission to ban every account and every console you own. Yeah, I'm gonna call your mom right now" and "Feel free to forward it to Bill Gates because I don't care" and all that other junk is just wayyyyy over the line. His behavior was callous and uncalled for, even if he was provoked by a bunch of pimply-faced teens.

Because of this guy's actions, the banned gamers won because they got their vindication through this widespread media attention throughout the internet. Sure, this guy may still keep his job at the end of the day, but his reputation is tarnished because he lost his cool and he hurt his employer's reputation. And from what I understand, these Xbox Live Moderators are paid, unlike us Mods here on the boards who are NOT paid.

Well said Franny. The bottom line is, he made the company look bad and there are probably thousands of folks waiting in line for that job. He's paid to keep his cool and be professional. I don't think he keeps his job.

Like I said, we Mods here aren't paid and we're still required to remain as professional as possible when dealing with disciplinary action and other serious matters. If Microsoft lets this slide, then I have to say that their customer service remains a joke as it's always been. Even if the users deserved disciplinary action (they're notorious hackers and cheaters), the XBL Moderator should've kept his cool first and foremost.

Shoot, if I had a 360, I would've killed for his job, no matter how little it paid. The fringe benefits that likely would've came with the job would've more than made up for that kind of verbal abuse from gamers online.

Just read on another forum that the video was a cut up. Not sure what to believe now. Supposedly, he was policing boosters or hackers/glitchers, but those parts were edited out. I STILL think he's a power abusing idiot because he still said the words. Whatev.

Yeah, I pointed out in the other response that the video's creator is a notorious hacker/cheater within that community. But even still, the Mod never should've reacted as he did. Professionalism is key; that's the difference between being in the wrong and being in the right in a situation like that. Professionalism will always bring you more good results than bad results.
