So the Cards are on the verge of releasing him, anyone interested in the Ravens acquiring him? He would help our secondary out either at safety or corner

Yea, the price will probably be too high considering that he's in his prime right now (27)
but personally I would love to add another CANE to the roster, This guy can play!!!

As much as he would be a nice addition, there's no room for him and what I mean is, Reed will come back(I know its not definite but I'm remaining positive) and we have Landry and we have solid depth at safety and he'll want to start meaning no room at all. Arizona would be dumb to cut him, it just shows how cheap they are, because of his cap they are going to release him, its no wonder why Wishenhunt hasn't gotten a contract extension yet and he probably won't since they don't spend money unless your name is Kurt Warner or Larry Fitzgerald. Boldin will be out, now Rolle and Leinart starts... 49ers NFC West division champs in 2010.

Rolle will probably head to Miami where they will cut Gibril Wilson and Rolle would take his spot.

There was alot of other infomation in that link that was also interesting, If you go back to it and check out some of the other rumors and speculation, as well as updates on on going stories about some other players, there was alot of content in there. As for Rolle, no doubt he would look good in purple and black, but like everything else we'd like to see, it's the money again. Not to mention the "final eight" rule the league was so kind to stick on us. Oh what we could do, but the old cliche' about the price of sucess is hamstringing us.

yea rolle can play corner and would def upgrade our secondary..but we gotta sign landry too because he had a solid comeback year..if we can somehow sign rolle and still meet the restrictions..he would be a great free agent pick up this year..and of course the fact that he went to The U is always a plus

Rolle was moved to safety because he struggled mightily at the CB position.

Like other people said, he'd be a great addition but the Ravens would have spend a good amount to get him.

And Nobi, Samari was a very good CB here and one if the better FA signings in team history. One scout had him rated as a top 10 CB in 2008 and his other years in Baltimore weren't bad either.

Right player, right price is Ozzie's philosophy, so if he can be had for cheap, as others have stated, why not?

That's right, he won't be cheap. Although he would be a major upgrade at CB or SS given that Reed stays, or he could take over at FS and still do a commendable job although he isn't nearly as good in coverage as Reed (but who is?). Having Webb and Rolle at CB would make me a happy man

I see this moving happening, especially if Landry isn't re-signed. The Ravens have always been fans of versatility and Rolle was a solid CB, as well as a Pro-Bowl Safety. I would love to see him in a Ravens jersey. This would allow up to add depth to our depleting secondary without giving up any draft picks on tenders or trades. Remember, Nakamura and Webb are coming off of IR, Samari is likely to retire, and Dawan was sometimes a liability last Season. Not to mention that Reed only has a few years left in him.

The reason the Cards moved him to FS is because he wasn't very good at CB. I don't think you'd want him playing CB here where the scheme calls for a lot of man-to-man play.

I see the Texans signing him. Thye nee dhelp at safety. Pollard was good for them and is prob going to stay with them.

This move simply won't happen, and I don't see us picking up any CB's at all except for in the draft. Our secondary started to click towards the end of the year, and that was with a 1st, 4th, and 5th string set of corners. Fox is back, and hopefully Webb will also be back healthy. We'll pick up another gem (like Webb) this year in the draft, and we'll be set as far as our entire defense goes. We'll be back to being the hardest hitting shutdown defense that the league has seen us be this past decade.

I dont know if this has been mentioned or not (too lazy to read right now) but he also did a little wr'ing for the Cards as well.

It came in a wild cat formation where he actually became the qb. Word on the street is he can throw the ball 90 yards.

I would like him as a CB , that would be a step in the right direction .
[/quote]

How? The Cards wouldn't have moved him to FS if he was a good CB.
