Senate Gets Judicial On Nfl Network

37 posts in this topic

Actually Direct TV has on demand now--we just got a new box that is connected to the internet and its sooo cool.

Yea that's chill I'm talking about verizon's alternative to comcast that runs over the same network. YOU GET AN LCD TV!!!! Um sweet...yea its like the size of a peanut haha. This chick went with them and has a wicked 73'' DLP but having to use Verizon's ill-adviced set-up kills it.

Even if we do FIOS internet, I am keeping Direct TV MUST HAVE SUNDAY TICKET

I do hope they get this resolved to keep the governments nose out of it, and so when I go to FL and NC I can get NFLN :) Its not even Jan and I will be at the beach half the summer.

It's called a free market, the government needs to keep it's nose out of the publics business. If the NFL wants to charge $800 a month for their network it has the right to do so, and you or CONcast aka rip-off cable company, has the right to not pay it. I want a 5 bedroom house with a detached garage that has a music studio on top, but those dang developers are asking $500,000+ for one. Maybe the senate can get involved so I can get one for $65,000.

A free market economy is great and all, but if it runs unregulated monopolies spring up and grab you by the testicles. And if that happens with the NFL, where are you going to turn, to the CFL? Regulating trusts is fine by me.

I would find something else to do with my time. I don't need football, football needs me and the NFL knows it. I don't have any premium channels in my DirecTv package, what's there is there. If the NFL decided they wanted to charge me $10 a month to watch their network/games they would have one less customer. There are too many things that can replace football, if it went away I wouldn't miss it, I'd move on with my life and wouldn't miss a beat.
