UFC 2010 is gonna be awesome! I can't wait to belt my mates with Rampage, Rashad Evans, Anderson Silva, Brock Lesnar and especially KIMBO SLICE!
2009 was great, but I have a feeling that this next one will blow it out of the water.

New features like:
-Improved controls, including a redesign of clinch and ground grappling.
-Parameters of escaping submissions, to represent "how an actual struggle submission would go down" as well as new submissions, including inverted submissions.
-Usage of cage walls
-Fighter customisation, so that fighters no longer have set moves according to fight style and instead can choose from about 200 different moves.
-Introduction of southpaw stance
-Greater control over the placement of tattoos or sponsorship logos
-Added MMA brands for clothing as well as the introduction of post-fight attire.
-Improved career mode with dynamic commentary based on title history or training partners.
-AI also adjusts fight style to take advantage of the player's weaknesses.
-Karate, Greco-Roman wrestling and Sambo fighting styles introduced.
-Online fighting camps
-New modes including a "Title (and Defense) Mode" as well as "Tournament Mode" and a changed "Classic Fights" Mode.
-Signature moves tied to a fighter.
-The Ability to attempt one submission, and change into another during the attempt.

Will make it much more realistic MMA experience and a huge upgrade on its predecessor.

I rented WKC, and I wasn't impressed. The character designs are ridiculous more often than not, that goes for whatever character you design yourself as well. The character customization has depth but nearly all the outcomes end up looking unappealing. As for the story... it didn't grab me at all. Usually even RPGs that start off slow (Star Ocean: Til The End of Time, I'm looking at you) tend to grab me and hold my attention until it picks up. WKC couldn't even do that.

That battle system is different, which I can't say is a good or a bad thing. You have a circle on the screen with the attack you chose at the bottom. A bar starts at the bottom of the circle and swings around the circumference until it reaches the bottom again, which is when you hit X to initiate the attack itself. It's tedious in my opinion, it felt like taking a turn based RPG, and forcing you to hit a button again in the middle of the turn to actually attack (but not in the cool, interesting way Legend of Dragoon did). Oh, and the character you created, s/he isn't the main character in the story. Instead, he'll play the silent onlooker in all your cutscenes and go to battle with you. The only time s/he steps into the limelight is in online play.

Granted, all I played was the single player, mostly because I was too turned off to get to the point where I could go online. From what I hear, online play is the much more interesting and fun part to the game.

Just got Grand Theft Auto: Episodes From Liberty City the other day. I was pleasantly surprised. For $40 (well, I got it for $33 off Amazon, really, with free two-day shipping), there's really two FULL games with tons to do.

I haven't touched The Lost And Damned yet, but The Ballad of Gay Tony lives up to a lot of the hype that I've read; I can easily see it as being the better of the two expansion packs. Make no mistake, these aren't your ordinary expansions; if you've never played Grand Theft Auto IV, the individual content in both games is almost as much as the full $60 retail disc for most games. There's just a ton to do, it's insane. The only drawback is a reduced number of story missions, but there's plenty of fun side missions to do and other such things to keep you going. It's well worth the value.

Man, I haven't really sat down to play Madden in FOREVER!...

...and then I played the other night. I suck at it again. :(

I haven't touched my PS3 all that much lately, save for streaming Netflix movies and letting my nephew play some games. Every time I pick up Red Dead Redemption, I always end up doing side missions instead of the main story. I also pretty much have given up on God of War III since I already saw the ending and really have no desire to finish myself. Just waiting on Madden 11 to tide me over until the next SmackDown game and whatever else catches my eye...

Yeah I haven't played my PS3 much except for when i tried the Create A Team Feature on Madden 10 and put that team in Franchise Mode. I'm unsure about getting Madden 11, it looks so similar to Madden 10, and they didn't do any Franchise Mode Changes to it and are making Madden 12 the Year of Franchise Mode. I may just save my $60 on Madden 11 and just wait for the SD vs Raw 2011 game and maybe MLB 10 The Show.

Don't get any of the latest baseball games; apparently, both MLB 10 and MLB 2K10 are immensely flawed, as they had glitches out-of-the-box. Not sure if the latest software patches fixed those problems, but I've read a lot of stuff where it seems like both games were rushed. However, I've also read that MLB 2K10 is a huge improvement over previous iterations and is actually slightly better than The Show this year in terms of gameplay, while The Show still wins in terms of presentation.

You're better off just getting SD vs RAW 2011 instead; that looks to take even bigger gameplay steps from 2010, especially in dealing with weapons and gimmick matches. Customization will still be as deep as 2010 but it doesn't look that much different cosmetically -- not that there was anything wrong with the game's appearance to begin with.

I can't wait for Gran Turismo 5, I've been ripping through Need for Speed Shift getting rid of my urges to race. My buddy is also letting me borrow Red Dead and I'm working my way through Mexico, pretty sick game.

Does anyone know the reason why Sony never made it possible to save PS2 Data on the PS3?

Because they're still making the PS2 consoles.

Dude, I can't pick up too many games at once. I hate going on without completing one so if I was to purchase all of them, I'll be set for over a year. lol

I can't usually play 1 game straight unless it really interests me and is awesome. So I usually play a couple at a time. I'm really into NBA 2k11 (game in unreal), Mortal Kombat and Fight Night right now. Already beat Dirt 2(awesome game as well).

There are a lot of games that I have to catch up on. Batman Arkham Asylum to name one. I want to beat that before Arkham City releases this year.

As far as First Person Shooters, I'd recommend get getting Brink when it releases May 10, Battlefield Bad Company 2, Crysis 2(Awesome Campaign), and Killzone 3. Only one out of these I play nowadays is BFBC2 because I'm so sick of FPS' it's not even funny.

As far as Third Person Shooters, I'd recommend the Uncharted Series(Third one releases this year), SOCOM 4(Best tactical shooter available), and Red Dead Redemption. So sad there are not many TPS'.

For RPGs, Demon's Souls in my opinion is not just the best RPG game on the PS3, but the best game this ENTIRE generation. I was so addicted to it. I beat it at least 10 times. One of the most difficult and one of the most addicting experiences I've had with a game in a LONG time. I can't wait till it's successor Dark Souls releases this year.

I'm the same way. I bought Portal 2 the day it came out, played it a lot for a few days and then haven't played it since because I don't want the single player to end. I guess I could play co-op on it, but I was hoping to finish the single player before I started that so it brings me back to square one lol.

I played Demon's Souls at a friend's house and it made me want to throw the controller at the TV. It wasn't that it was terribly difficult or anything, but when you play a level for like 10-15 mins only to die from a cheap death and then have to restart the ENTIRE level, that's bad game design. At least throw in some checkpoints or something...

Envy listed some good shooters, the better racing games out there are Dirt 2, Gran Turismo 5, Motorstorm, and Need for Speed Hot Pursuit.

Another good racing game is Blur. Basically, it's like Mario Kart except with real cars. I'm not sure how many people are usually playing it online though(when PSN is working obviously) because the number of users on 360 is usually pretty low whenever I'm playing it.

Burnout Paradise is also a lot of fun. Big, open-world racing game with lots of stuff to do. It's also been out for quite awhile, like Blur, so you can probably get it for cheap.

That's not bad game design. That was indeed the entire intention of the developer. Demon's Souls is a game of trial and error. You slip up even the slightest and you're done. You have to be on your toes at all times and work your character to the best of your ability. No checkpoints or anything to hold your hand. You have to get good or become cattle. Period.
