Funniest Actors

21 posts in this topic

There are a lot of funny actors. Who do you think are the best? I really like Jonah Hill, Seth Rogan, Paul Rudd, Jason Segel, Bill Hader, and Michael Cera. Those are pretty much my favorite funny guys. Jim Carrey is also pretty funny as well as Adam Sandler back in the day not as much anymore though. Who do you think are the funniest actors?

Eddie Murphy was hilarious back in the day.

Today, I'd George Clooney is pretty funny even though he isn't really known as a comedic actor.

I want to say Zach Galifianakis, but it'd only be based on one (really great) role. Will Ferrell churns out great performances in virtually all of his films, it's a shame that I think directors and producers get lazy when they've got Will Ferrell on the cast list. They just seem to throw him in front of the camera and see if he can make things happen in his more recent roles.

Jim Carrey. Ace Ventura Pet Detective was BRILLIANT! Like many of the others, he went down hill, but he's still a funny dude.

Not the funniest actor, but go watch some old Richard Pryor standup. Him, or George Carlin. They both tried acting, but were superior stand up guys.

I can't help but think of the late Chris Farley, so much talent and gone to soon. The guy was intense, hysterical, physical, and was just getting it all together. R.I.P. Chris.

Will Ferrell by far the funniest actor. Not just because of his acting but everything the guy touches is genius. If you dont like Anchorman then I dont like you haha. Step Bros is one of the best comedies ever. And yeah I agree Zach Gilifinakis is funny as hell, have you guys seen his stuff on youtube the um In Between two Ferns or whatever haha its hilarious!

Yeah, if the category drifts into stand-up comics who occasionally do act, I'd have to add Lewis Black. I really like Vince Vaughn's script-altering improv too.

Robin Williams' stand-up is legendary. Same for George Carlin.
