Wildest Madden Games You've Had...

Got my first EVER onside kick return for a TD.

I was killing the Giants in the SB and they did a surprise on-side (where they come out in regular kick-off formation then audible to on-side). One of my LB's grabbed it, spun and found a lane all the way to the end zone. It was SWEET!!!! Now why can't my HB's and WR's do that???

BTW - The achievement was my first ever in my long Madden history dating back to 1997.

PS3 here...damn ive never been able to return them more then 5 or 6 yards lol... I must say with ladarius webb as my kr about once or twice a game im able to break a big one...but i usually end up gettin caught around the 20...MORE TOP END IS NEEDED!

Nope. I did it with a LB. Was just good blocking and poor tackling. Again, this was an on-side attempt I returned. I've returned several kick offs in every version of Madden. Punt returns are a little more rare. Speed and spin move are the essentials there.

Ball snap's the db tryed to press jackson he gets right by em i throw the bomb hoping he can come down with it as the safetys charging him...Catch's the ball i stand up screaming and win by 1 point...Helluva game.

I don't mean to call you out, but the math came out to something like they win 28-24,25,or 26 (them having the 28) depending if you went for the 1 point conv, the 2 point conv and missed, or the 2 point conv and got it

Warden and I had another intense matchup. The game was close the entire time and there were some interesting scoring plays (Warden's fumble recovery TD and my kickoff return for six.) The game went to overtime after I ran out of time at the 20. Warden won the toss, went down the field, and kicked a 35 yarder for the win. Final score: 31-28

Then we decided to use different teams. Warden chose the Giants and I was the Vikings. Warden's first drive resulted in an iffy fumble. It was hard to tell if his receiver had possession, but when Warden challenged, it was upheld and only focused on the fumble itself. I scored quickly and missed the XP (damn lag.) Warden's next drive ended in an INT by one of the Williamses after getting hit as the ball came out. Another quick score made it 13-0. The game was largely uneventful after that, the final score ended up something like 40-15 (I scored in garbage time after Warden's failed onside kick with 3:30 left.)

Warden, I have an idea for next game. You be the Ravens and I'll take the Steelers (though I have a feeling we'll both try to lose.)

I was playing my friend on live and I was losing 24-27 and he just scored.
He kicked it off and I took it out of the endzone with Webb and got to the 40 yard line when he got hit stick'd and fumbled then out of nowhere McClain picks up the ball and runs it all the way back with like 30 seconds left.

It was pretty funny actually.

I just had the most interesting and craziest game I ever played. Now I was the Rams playing against The Texans. The game was mostly defense and not a whole lot of offense. I get the first score off an Pick 6, they score and make it 7 to 7. This goes back & fourth for a while until they scored in the second quarter to make it 14 to 7. Eventually they are up 21 to 7, but I return a kickoff back for a TD, and I tie the game up in the 4th. When I read off the game stats you will be shocked that both teams made it to 21 points, I get the ball back late in the 4th, I figure run the ball, drain the clock kick a field goal. Well I get down to the 20, the ball looks good but it goes to the left and hits the post and NO GOOD! 21 to 21, now over time. This now becomes the first quarter, alot of back & fourth defensive football, it gets late in OT, I throw an interception, I would pick the ball back off. I got the ball with 37 seconds left in OT, I try to make a big play but Bradford is intercepted for the game winning TD with the Texans winning 27 to 21! Here's some of the defensive stats:

Rams(Me):
- 4 Interceptions
- 9 Sacks

Texans:
- 8 Interceptions
- 1 Sack

That my friend has to be one of the wildest games anyone has seen. Though I'll say I enjoyed it very much, I am in favor of big defensive games which is why I love our Ravens-Steelers Rivalry so much.

Hmmm, while not my wildest, I did just cream the Colts 41-14 in the divisional round of the playoffs. Manning threw four picks (Webb, Suggs, Landry, and a pick six to Reed). Nakamura forced a fumble on a kickoff to Indy, that D-Will scooped up and ran in for a touchdown. Ngata, Johnson, Lewis, and Suggs all had sacks. The Colts didn't even score those 14 points until the fourth, mostly on blown plays by myself (tried to go for the pick with Foxy, ended up whiffing and Garcon ran in a 63 yard touchdown pass :\ )

the craziest game ever was probably the one where all my scoring was from pick6s. 3 Ed Reeds and one Ngata(yes, Ngata...it was with the other team backed up at their own 3). I was losing 31-28 and the guy inexplicably went for a 57yd FG with :03 remaining(trying to rub it in I suppose, didnt work). He missed way short and I had put reed in as the returner in the end zone and of course I scored that puppy and won 35-31. Made it better that I was playing against the steelers

Some Dallas cheeser got 3 quick scores off my lag and was throwing 2 point conversions, Reed picked him off with Reed 3 times and I rushed Rice down his throat for to win with 1 minute left, then I threw a 2 point conversion and he quit.

Another guy was ahead with the Chargers, I was down one score with 30 seconds to go I threw 3 consecutive Hail Marys to Todd Heap and an accidental touchdown throw (wrong button) for the win with 4 seconds left.

This wasn't in Madden but NCAA Football 2006, I was playing my dad with two just random teams, I was Memphis he was Indiana, we had a Triple OT 44-41 game that ended because I picked him off on 3rd down. I told my friend that I would go to his house after the game ended but that wasnt for another hour or so.

I think I've FINALLY gotten my sliders perfect: I've lost three heartbreakers; won a couple close ones and had two blowouts in my last several games. I have not gotten blown out yet, but my team is solid and I've only had competition from other GOOD teams. Now it seems all of my games are epic. It's fantastic; finally got it to where I always wanted it.

What do you set your sliders to? I keep adjusting mine, yet still win in a landslide nearly ever game.

I keep adjusting mine too. Had them perfect then started a new franchise and lost them. I've just started getting back to a competitive (but not ridiculously dominant CPU in ALL MADDEN). Don't know what they are now.

I know that most CPU settings are over 23-24 while my own are at 22 and below.

I played my friend earlier today,I am a little rusty since it's been awhile he was the Steelers,i the Ravens.I went down 37-0 in the first half(stupid throws and what not,some freak fumbles),third quarter starts off with a ko return for td
37-7,next drive I roethisberger,Ben who fumbles,run in for a td 37-14.
3 and out next drive so I get the ball I do a fluke screen (hit the wrong button),but 67 yds later Rice scores 37-21.
4th quarter starts with a pick-six by Zibby 37-28
He drives the field gets to the ten goes for a short yardage pass to put me away and my boy Kruger ints Ben runs it back to the 40,2 minutes left.I drive the field and score on a 18 yd pass play to Mason in the corner. 37-35
On side kick is sucessful and with 5 seconds left Cundiff dips a 43 yd fg to win 38-37

Ravens (me) vs Patriots in the divisional playoffs.

It's snowing pretty hard in Foxborough and it's a back and forth game but eventually it lead up to me having to take the ball 80 yards in 20 seconds to come back from a 28-24 deficit.

Regardless to say, it was pretty much hopeless. So I put all verticals but for some reason I felt like changing Derrick Masons route to a sluggo instead, so I did that, what the heck.

All of a sudden, I'm watching Dmase, as soon as he cuts up the cornerback on him slips and falls and the safety behind bit the other way because I pump faked. Bombed the ball deep and crossed my fingers. Ended up losing to the Chargers in the AFC conference game though

The most intense game I've ever played....

I was the Texans playing against the Falcons... He got the first kickoff and returned it to my 10 yard line. So you know I had to go beast mode and perform a goaline shutdown, right? Of course i did, like the beast I am, and I blocked my 3rd field goal EVER in Madden... so the score is 0-0.

I ran all over the place with Steve Slaton, throwing in a couple of PA passes once in a while, and finished off my first drive with a 35 yard run for a touchdown. He scored the next drive, evening out the score at 7-7, and I return it to the 31. First play... BAM, interception for a touchdown. I was SOOO pissed.

So now its 14-7 with about 4 minutes left in the 2nd. I figure I should run out the clock so he cant score again, and I cap off the half with a 14 yard pass to Andre Johnson for a TD, leaving him with 7 seconds, and eventually falling to the half.

The score is 14-14, my little brother starts playing because I had to take a dump, and when I get back the score is 21-14, and he has it on my 35, with 2:30 left in the 3rd. 2 incompletions and a Mario Williams sack later, he misses a 55 yard field goal, giving me the ball. With a little less than 2 minutes left, I score on a long pass to Andre Johnson. So, now he thinks he's a beast and trys to go long to Roddy White, my safety tips is and BAM, Duata Robinson picks it and takes it to the 50. I ran with Slaton until it was 4th and 1 on the 27, and made a field goal with about 4 minutes left in the 4th. This time, he does a PA pass and throws it across the middle right to Mike Peterson (my LB) where he gets tackled instantly. I run out the clock, and make a field goal making the score 27-21.

So next play, after he returns it, I do a deep zone and take control of my safety, obviously with less than a minute left he takes a deep shot, and misses. The same play, right after, My safety bats it down, bounces off Duanta Robinsons foot, Roddy White catches it and spins off my other corner... for a touchdown. So it is 28-27. 15 seconds left. He squibs it, and I get it to the 40 with 13 seconds left.

So, him expecting me to go long, I do a deep comeback route to Andre Johnson, who catches it before stepping out of bounds... 9 seconds left.

I have it on about the 50, so I run a sweep, he is not expecting this and I get about 12 yards with about 3 seconds left.

So with about a 53 yard field goal... pressure is building, and OFF THE POST. I was about to cry until I realized it went off the post into the uprights, with 0 seconds left.

Final Score= 30-28
