Do you guys like to travel? I love the Cascade and Appalachian mountains. Also, I've been to Niagra Falls, up, down east coast, Las Vegas, Wash. State, OR, CA, flown over Grand Canyon, . . .

I live in The Netherlands and a lot of the countries I went to are just around the corner. I've been to England, Germany, Belgium, France, Spain, Malta and Turkey.

I would love to go to the U.S. on of these days. Maybe watch a Ravens game.

If its FL or the Outer Banks of NC I love it!

Pass-A-Grille Beach (St. Pete) and Duck, N.C. are two of my favorite places.

:o

As much as it sucks to agree with the enemy.......I agree.

I'm at The Wharf (waterfront bar in Pass-a-Grille) almost every weekend.

My folks live just inland from the Outer Banks as well.

I'd love to see the parentlands (as I call them): France and Germany. While I was in France I'd visit WWI and WWII sites like Verdun, the Somme, St. Lo, Caen, etc. If I could afford it, dip into Belgium and Holland for Ypres, Passchendaele, Bastogne, and Arnhem.

Yeah hopefully before I'm dead.

I would like to travel internationally, because it doesn't take a huge amount of effort to go someplace domestically.

Such as the psychiatrists office?

Regardless, that statement isn't entirely accurate.

Get yourselves to Australia folks. It's a fair way to go but worth it. We've got it all here: beaches, deserts, mountains (although not real big), rainforests, the Great Barrier Reef, Ayers Rock, Kakadu National Park, the Blue Mountains, Ningaloo Reef, the nullabor Plain, etc, etc, etc. We've got heaps. Although it is a huge place and you would need a fair amount of time to travel and see it all! (It takes roughly 3 days to drive from Melbourne to Perth without much sightseeing.) If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask and I'll try to answer as best I can! If you time it right (i.e. our winter) you may even get to see my Essendon Bombers play at the MCG - now that's a great experience!

Personally, I've seen a little of the States, western Canada, England, parts of Scotland, Fiji, Vanuatu and nowhere near enough of Australia. Would like to get back to the US and Canada, South America, New Zealand and Africa. I prefer the natural world rather than the man-made one.

Been dying to do there. Missed my chance in 1994. I've heard nothing but good things about it. Coincidentally, Crocodile Dundee was just on this last weekend. lol

All because I made a promise to someone years ago. :wootwoot:

:D Of course I'd go to the American cemetery at Normandy first, as I promised.

I almost had my Fiancee' convinced to take the "Band of Brothers tour" for our honeymoon: Upottery England to Normandy to Holland to Bastogne to The Eagles Nest to Zell Am See Austria (I think). Does that sound awesome or what!!

Same as everywhere it has its dodgy spots but on a whole it's a great country. Worth the effort, in my not so unbiased opinion.

Hey Wardy, I think you read her post wrong. She said she would visit those places if she went. ;)

Ever play the Brothers in Arms games? They actually went over to Europe and mapped out the exact size of the towns, streets and all. Took pictures from the 40's that they found and recreated the area. Obviously not as awesome as being there personally, but pretty darn cool nonetheless. :)

I played them on PC, but I believe they're out on xbox too. Yea, I bet you'd love those games. You have to use *suppresion fire and flanking maneuvers since the enemy uses cover also. It's definitely a different kind of shooter. Hard as hell on higher difficulties too.
As you progress through the game, you unlock a lot of stuff, including actual photos taken during the war.

EDIT - *suppresion fire, not covering fire ;)

Hmm. If it's an older game I can probably get it cheap at Game Stop. Thanks Homie!
