no one knows yet, they haven't played an NFL down yet

what if Joe Flacco becomes the next Peyton manning.... but actually doesn't suck in the post season
1 Word: Dynasty! John Harbaugh would be our coach for 10+ years.

Yeah this thread is awesome... glad this was dug up, this can kill more time until the season starts.

What if The Rams had took Suh # 1 Overall and Clausen at 33?

Is he not already.... lol. The awnser is actually very simple.... we will be even MORE beastly, if that is even possible, and we will be a lock for the lombardi trophy this year.

What if we lose 99-0 to the Browns this year... twice?

They would be SOOO much better for it and there Defense would actually be a little scary, with some peices they have like Atogwe, Lenord Little, Carriker(if he was not traded) and Lainartis.

Also, Clausen would actually be in a decent situation, better than Carolina anyway, assuming the Rams can get their line to at least decent or slightly below average.

They might actually get to 6-10, and it took days but I really felt like diggen it up.

Then the Rams are much further ahead in the rebuilding phase. A piece or two on the O-line and a WR and they become relevant again.

What if TO takes 2.5 mill to come to Bmore and vows to make up for the mistake of screwing us over? Would we accept him (haha doubtful)?

Depends on what time of the season it is and if there is help available. If it's during TC I say go after TO. A desperation move, but at the point I think we could use the help.

If not, and there isn't any worth-while help available, we're still a better team than last year and a serious playoff contender. The D is better and more youthful than last year, and the O-line, recievers, and Flacoo have had more time to develop. It would be heart-breaking, but in reality we're still a good football team without the two; which is pretty awesome to say!

What if the Browns never moved to Baltimore?

Than Cleaveland wouldn't hate Art Moddel and we would probably be the expansion team that is the Browns, which means that instead of discussing how many touchdowns Flacco will throw and how many yards will Rice rush for, we will be praying Delohme throws under 20 picks and hoping Jerome Harrison can break 1,000 yards.

What if Flacco replaces Unitas as the statue in front of the stadium?

I hope his "legacy" gets to that level to truly talk about that happening (although it will never happen, replacing Unitas that is).

What if there is not a new CBA in place by 2011? (god forbid) Who will we lose at the end on the 2010 season? What will everyone (fans and players) do from Feb 2011 to Aug 2012? ....wow, that sucked even typing it!!

What if T.O. came to us when he was supposed to?? Would Boller have been a better Qb?

Nope.

What if the season is extended to 18 games, and in the final game of week 19 on the final snap, Tom Brady is gently brushed by a knee pad or elbow?

It would be a horrible disappointment and I would hope that most of our team stays intact for another run the following season and the NFL agrees to a new CBA.

What if we surprise everyone and become the first team to go undefeated and win the SB(in the 16 game schedule era)?

The Ref's would come back to Earth after being abducted by aliens, and nullify our season by saying that we worked too hard in practices and also hit too hard during games.

What if John Elway went to Baltimore instead of Denver? Would we still be the Colts?

No doubt the first to go Bulger, we are paying him big bucks for a backup QB, secondly, we trade McGahee and draft a Willis-type RB in the draft.

And obviously Gaither will be an odd man out, no way he gets a big contract, and we will just hope to Chris the FO's faith in Oniel Cousins is rightfully placed.

We may be good after that, but if not, probably Harris and Hamlin, possibly Mason because he will retire soon anyway.

Now to awnser this question, What if 2007 happens again?

I and a lot of other Raven faithfulls would cry, a lot, and we would be slightly cheered up that we get a higher draft pick for once when the offseason arrives.

I would cry tears of joys, and everyone would finally have to recognize the Ravens greatness, including the media. Also, Derrick Mason will make the HOF, Joe will be considerred the next Johnny Unitas and his statue will replace (or stand next to) Unitas's when he makes the Hall, and we party hard.

What if we go 0-16 this year? Who will we blame and what will happen?

What if Rice gets hurt and McGahee has a career year, going to the Pro Bowl and demands a long term contract with tons of money?? Do we pay him or let him go, keeping our faith in Rice that he'll return to his pre-injury form??

McGahee would be like 30, so no. We would probably give him a big 1 to 2 year contract, depending on how bad Rice's injury was and how good he did filling in for Rice, and Rice and McGahee would switch places in the tandem untill Willis stops producing or until he gets injured. After those seasons, the Skins would sign him to add to their list of old, former beast RB.

And if he disagreed to our contract we would trade him.
No one awnsered my question so here it goes again

We'd get better 4th string players after losing all of our 1st, 2nd, and most of our 3rd string players to injuries, and we'd call it bad luck.

There's absolutely no way we go 0-16 unless injuries get everyone on our team.

What if Ed Dickson and Dennis Pitta outplay Heap this year? Will we get rid of Heap, or do we keep him for loyalty?

That wouldn't surprise me if they do, and secondly I think Heap's contract runs out in 2011, and the fact Ozzie drafted two tight ends could mean that when Heap's contract is out, they have no plans of re-signing Heap, or if we are lucky Heap retires when his contract runs out and he retire as a Raven.

First, we already gave him a bunch of money and a long term contract when he got here in 2007, he is still under contract and has already been paid alot of money so even though it is a what if thread this is out of the question. Plus Rice is the future of this team, we'll have to pay Rice a big long term contract soon, and that is when we'll dump Willis(2 years from now) and extend rice.

That would be awesome if Reed came out for the Jets game and picked off Sanchez, it would be even better if he did it 4 times, with 2 going back for Touchdowns(one of those breaks his record of 107 or 108 and he goes the whole distance of the end zone to the other end zone which is I think 110 yards) and the Ravens win 35 to 0.

What if Randy Moss gets traded to The Vikings before the season starts?

Well it depends for who. If it is like, Berrian and a pick lets say, He becomse the #2 receiver behind Rice and Harvin stays in the slot while occasionally spelling Moss and taking the #2 position. Really not much changes for the Vikings except they do a little better maybe winning one game they wouldnt have and they would probably go to the Super Bowl, maybe lose to the Packers on the way,but the expectations dont much change.

For the Pats, however, this signals a rebuilding stage, as they may still slide into the playoffs but they did this move mainly for that pick, which signals they are looking to rebuild, and they will probably miss the playoffs.

If they trade for just picks, the Vikes probably wouldnt take it because that leaves Berrian as a fourth, unless it is a complete steal of a trade, and the Pats would definitely miss the playoffs.

What if our whole O-line gets injured? What do we do?

What if were able to go back in time and chose one player to add to our roster (or from today if you want)? Who and Why?
Lawrence Taylor, even though he is trouble, would be my pick. He played with a love for the game, and teams had to take time and actually teach their O-Linemen how to block him from getting to the Qb. And who can forget that Joe Theismann hit he laid on him. Not exactly a good memory, but it has to be up there as the most memorable sack in the history of the NFL. L.T. was a phenomenal athlete who if he could play for us today would take all the concerns about our secondary away. And if we're talking offensively, I'd have to go with the man Jerry Rice. But this team is built around scary D.

What if we either traded Jared Gaither or he got hurt for the season.... what would that do to our O, and who would step in and fill the hole??

Yea, I did that because I made it a topic, and to awnser a mix of my own question and yours, we would sign Willie Anderson to help out. Worst case scenario he teaches Cousins some things, and our o line wouldnt be THAT bad with Hale, Chester, Anderson Cousins, and Ngata. It wouldnt be very good but still better than the Bills.

And I love LT, but I'll take Deacon Jones, 22 sacks in one season is ridiculous.

What if we traded Joe for Matt Ryan?

We would be a little worse, but not much. Flacco is better than Ryan, but both players had similar teams last year, and Flacco outperformed Ryan by just a little, BUT Flacco did make the playoffs, so that makes it a plus 5 for that.

What if Hines Ward gets hurt in Game 1? Does that make the Steelers a 4-12, 3-13 team?
