Colts Airport Greeting

13 posts in this topic

The end of the Indianapolis Colts' season came down to 11 people.

Not the 11 players on the field during the Super Bowl, but the 11 who showed up at Indianapolis International Airport on a cold, snowbound Monday afternoon, when the team returned following their 31-17 defeat Sunday by the New Orleans Saints at Super Bowl XLIV in Miami.

"Win or lose, they're still our team," said Brownsburg resident Karen Calhoun, who carried a "Where's the parade" sign.

The closest any of the 11 fans got to the Colts was the other side of a security fence several hundred feet away.

I know there was snow and all, but that's pretty sad. I mean, even our fans went to greet our boys after the loss in the AFC Championship game last year. This year, we couldn't do it because of new airport restrictions, but if Indy fans were able to go greet their team, they should've done it, win or lose.

Thats pretty sad. If my team made it to the SB, win lose or shut-out, I'd congratulate them on a great season.

With that bieng said, you cant totally blame the fans. Although not quite as bad, the Colts are this decades Bills.

Indy fans should know better than to piss off the Colts during a snowstorm. Look what happened when we did......

This proves that most people cheering for the Colts were bandwagoning fans,at least there are 11 true Colts fans.

I believe this is what they call karma. Not for the players, regardless of how I feel about the Colts, it's not about the players. Most of them were kids when Irsay showed his cowardice. For them, I feel bad.

For the Irsays, let's just say it isn't their first go 'round with a cold, lonely night.

Like the man above said. On a cold snowy night the Colts left their fans out in the cold. This cold snowy night, the Colts fans left their boys cold and lonely. Karma is real and now Irsay can see it first hand!
