The 4th of this month is going to be 7 months since the passing of the great Steve Mcnair, and also the 14th (Valentines Day) is his birthday...So i thought it would be a cool thing to start a new thread for him and say a prayers and gratitude's to his family and friends...Also what is your favorite memory of Mcnair as a raven or titan?? R.I.P Mcnair we all miss you and know that you are in a safe place now, but far to young to be there :baltimore-ravens:

One of my favorite memories of Steve McNair off the top of my head was when he led the Ravens to a comeback victory over the Titans in his return to Tennessee. That late TD pass to fellow ex-Titans teammate Derrick Mason that would eventually win the game was a thing of beauty. That look of joy on Steve's face was so genuine and you couldn't help but feel happy for the guy as he ran to hug Mase in the endzone.

My favorite McNair memory was the comeback win he orchestrated against SD. I'll never forget the pass he threw to Heap who bounced off a lazy shoulder-hit from Merriman before diving into the end-zone.

'06 was a special year even though it ended so poorly.

I loved Steve McNair. My favorite memory of him was also the comeback drive against San Diego and the comeback win in Tennessee. Stevie brought us back and Trevor preserved the win with a blocked field goal. Great memories. I couldn't believe it when I heard the news. R.I.P. MC9

It was like two major jolts to the system at that time. First the death of Michael Joackson and then Steve McNair.

I could not have been convinced that McNair was involved in such behavior, because outside a couple of DUI issues, he has been pretty much squeeky clean.

I don't even wear his jersey anymore in honor of his death. I had it put in a frame.

When I think of McNair I always think of the win in New Orleans when he ran that qb draw in for a TD.

And for a little bit of trivia in that game: Reggie Bush threw his lone career INT against the Ravens and Ray Lewis picked it off in the back of the endzone.

I'll always remember the epic battles vs. the Titans, when we were in the same division. Seeing Steve, a warrior in the truest sense of the word, against relentless Ravens defenses. Then the day when I heard he was going to be our quarterback! Man I was psyched, a player of his caliber, skill and courage, a Raven, awesome. I only wish we could have gotten a ring with him on our team, he deserved one. For his determination, his will to excel and the way he elevated the other players on his team just by his style. Also after coming within one yard against the Rams with Tennessee. We could have gotten him that yard. R.I.P. Steve, it was way to soon.

Our year with Steve McNair was the best regular season we had, though there were a couple of frustrating offensive outings. It ended very disappointingly in a playoff game in which our offense was completely inept, and Steve never really got back in the game the following year, but I'll never forget the feeling of following a Ravens season with full confidence that we could beat anyone. That was in large part due to having a great offensive leader in Steve McNair.

We are all human beings, nobody is exempt from that kind of behavior. RIP Steve, when you were healthy you made us a dominant force!

When he was healthy at the beginning and middle of the year, I honestly thought the only team that could beat us, was our own dumb mistakes and not playing with enough intensity on offense. I would put that 06 team with a healthy McNair, up against alot of the great teams of the last 20 years on any given day. Steve was the only thing we had that resembled a real QB since Dilfer left, Dilfer might not have been half as good as McNair but both he and McNair understood what a QB was supposed to do. Thanks for 06 Steve, she was a beauty.

I attended the first preseason game in '06 against the Giants. McNair only played one series that day, but he lead the offense on a long TD drive. He scored on a scramble, reaching the corner of the end zone. Well, the crowd went insane, a standing ovation. A camera zoomed in on him, and they put in on the jumbotron. His face was priceless. He couldn't believe that the crowd was going absolutely berserk on a preseason TD. That's a look I'll never forget. RIP Steve.

He was a great athlete, a tremendous talent. I just imagine what he could have accomplished in the league if his body didn't take such a physical beating. At the same time the warrior mentality is what made him great. RIP "Air" McNair
