Even though OZ wont get him what do you guys think about picking him up...to me suggs isnt performing for half his contract and we get any passrush rushing four....at corner i think we are fine with Fox and Web and our 3 and 4 corners carr and fabian (if he comes back) or even draft and upcoming prospect.... giv me ur thoughts

1. CBA or lack of prevents us from doing this
2. Peppers disappears pretty often
3. He was playing for a big contract last year
4. Suggs will be back to form next year.

Of course he'd fit in and put up great numbers but we can't afford him, can't afford two of the highest paid linebackers / DE's in football. If we were to trade our 1st round pick i'd rather pick up Brandon Marshall instead. We need to put points on the board and bring in some playmakers on offense. We're spending way too much money on our defensive players.

I think Julius Peppers would definately solve our pass rushing problem, I'd like to have him rotating with Trevor Pryce, especially on 3rd down. Usually though you never see a guy like Peppers playing for 3-4 defense like we have, the defensive line in 3-4 defenses are primarily for Run stopping while the linebackers are meant to be the pass rushers, that's how it usually works

Peppers is a really good player but if you thought Suggs didn't live up to his contract this year, you'd flip watching Peppers. For every game he had against the Vikings this year, there are five others where he does almost nothing.

People associate a good pass-rush with heat off the edge but this team simply doesn't have anyone who collapses the pocket inside. I've said this before but there have been many times when I've seen either Suggs, Pryce or J.J. come hard around the corner only for the QB to easily step up and avoid them because none of the Ravens' DTs were getting penetration. That has to change.

Bad idea, we need to spend our money wisely, not waste it on a overrated defensive player. And Sizzle didn't play very well until the Playoffs, but he really turned it on once we got in. He is worth the 60 mil we gave him, he just needs to stay healthy and realize how important he is to our defense.

Excellent points, completely agreeable. We DO need someone on the opposite side who can be more consistant, but Ngata was the only DT this year that was getting penetration up the middle. I attribute this partly due to the fact that Kelly Gregg wasn't 100 percent back to form this year, knee injuries are "2 year" injuries more often than not. Let's hope that either he or Bannan can step it up next season.

I thought he's an UFA this year. He's 30 and a good tackle, but there's Edwards who is younger, and imo better than Bannan. Not saying Bannan isn't worth the money, but we're somewhat restricted this year as we all already know.

We need more people that actually WANT TO PLAY for the Ravens and not just play because it was it was the 1st thing they got. Are you serious? I can't see one player like that on our whole team except possibly clayton, because there has to be a reason he sucks and he drops balls. Any dedicated receiver catches balls. But outside of him I have absolutely NO IDEA what you are talking about

No way, great player but we can't afford him. We needs to address the offense and I'd prefer to find a star defense player through the draft. It's just too expensive to sign a high caliber proven defensive player with the talent we already have. Ngata will need a new contract soon..

I'd love to see Peppers lined up opposite Suggs/JJ, etc., but that will never happen... would cost way too much and we have much more pressing needs.
