Ya how the heck did he get in...
Next year we should all vote for Flacco so that when the Super Bowl QB cant play in it we will get to see him with good WRs :229031_rofl:

Shouldn't we be hoping the Ravens make the Super Bowl instead of worrying about the Pro Bowl?

I don't think it's so much about who is in or out but the event itself. The idea of taking the event out of Honolulu and putting it the week before the Super Bowl in Miami is laughable. First, it was supposed to be a reward for players being named to the Pro Bowl which is why it's always been in Hawaii. Second, it's also supposed to be a showcase for the best players in the league. Putting it between the conference championships and Super Bowl defeats that idea. I understand that Honolulu didn't give the event the fan support the NFL wants and putting it before the Super Bowl may actually attract more fans to the game. But, it is now an inferior game and certainly no reward for the players. The game should remain in Honolulu (and be played the week after the Super Bowl) and with the strong military contingent out there active duty military should be given tickets to the game. Make it a reward for players (getting to go to Hawaii) as well as a special event for our dedicated men and women in uniform. Unfortunately, the NFL is so focused on gate receipts that they have completely missed the whole point . . . or don't care.

I wouldnt have put Flacco in over Big Ben or Palmer or even Vince Young.

I cant believe how many Ravens fans have said things like this, Flacco didnt deserve to be anywhere near the pro bowl. Joe Flacco has in no way proven that he is an elite or even above average QB in this league. He does deserve a shot with better talent around him but he does not manufacture wins or make plays with games in the line.

Mcnair didnt make the Pro Bowl when we went 13-3 and Flacco doesnt deserve to make it after his piss poor season. If you take Detroit and Chicago out of the equations his numbers are bottom 10 in the league. And his record in games decided by 4 or less points is 2-6 in his career.

Sometimes I am ashamed to be a Ravens fan, he doesnt deserve to be in this game. Stats dont tell the whole story.
I agree, do you guys actually think Joe Flacco is a pro-bowl qb?

Whats funny, is I post simply Flacco's stats and I get a negative reputation? So thats how it works.
Some people don't like the truth. I don't completely agree with assessment of Joe but it's obvious that he didn't have a Pro Bowl year.

Apparently Joe was invited but turned it down. I didn't read the whole thread...sorry if that was posted already. According to Aaron Wilson on his twitter he turned it down b/c of his hip injury.

Not even going to get into whose deserving to go b/c when you have Garrard and Vince Young in the pro bowl it is a joke.

I really disagree with the statement that Flacco had a piss poor season though...that's a little over the top.

If you read today's Late for Work article on the main page, Joe was asked but turned it down due to his hip.

Good; I was hoping that was the case.

Now he can be in th Brady, Rivers, Roethlisberger group, and not the Young, Garrard crew.

All the cool kids are skipping it. ;)

Nah, Joe is the only cool kid skipping it. Rivers is a tool, Brady is a girl, and Roethlisberger can't go because Chunk didnt feed him a baby ruth. And yes that is a sloth from Goonies reference.

I think it's the coaches from the best record of the divisional loser. You might be thinking of all of the other pro-bowls in which the championship losers coached.

Norv Turner will be coaching the AFC.

i would love to see him there (flacco) because we would know then if he is able to win a game with good receivers. even if he doesn´t deserve it- i don´t care if he does or not- would that been nice...

another question: do they really play as hard as ever in the pro bowl or is it more like the nba allstar game, with much fun and stuff?? i think it is only fun and nobody whants to get hurt what is absolutely right. i would prefer the probowl in the week after the sb by the way but what do we know!?!

Yeah, it would have been nice to him play with guys like Andre Johnson, but this year's pro-bowl is AFC South versus Cowboys and Vikings.

Lol, no way. The players don't play nearly as hard, especially the defense.

No sacks either? How does that even work? O.o Why do guys like Ware and Allen even show up?

That's true, it's good practice for the real games. Someday, they'll be showing pro-bowl film to rookie defensive backs to demonstrate what is allowed.

Do you guys remember the first Bengals game? They had Carson Palmer and Joe Flacco wired for that one. Someone went out and said, "Now who are the most boring two guys that I could pick from these teams?"

I love how the NFL is only trying to enforce this "Alternates who bow out of the Pro Bowl for a 2nd Alternate" don't get credit for the selection.

I guess Randy Moss this season and any other 1st alternate who didn't play in the game should lose credit too.
