Is Jealousy Eating At You?

the Jets defense just seems to magnetize to the ball,Jimmy is everywhere on the field...I don't resent Rex because he did want to coach here,at the same time I don't resent the fact we have Harbs....I am enjoying the pounding Peyton is getting and it is looking like Sanchez as a hell of an eye for the game....still isn't no Flacco but he may become a decent QB in this league

Flacco is our guy and Im behind him...but I cant say with logic that Flacco is better than Sanchez in the playoffs. Flacco's 1 TD to 7 Ints in the playoffs is absolutely disgusting and Sanchez has thrown more TDs this game than Flacco has yet to do in the playoffs.

He has outperformed Flacco.

Before long, we're going to hear about how he is so much better than Joe. If not from the talking heads on ESPN, it will be from our very own forum members.

Like I've said before, I've already been hearing it for the past four months and I'll hear it yet again at the end of the day today if the Jets win.

That's part of where my vendetta against Sanchez lies; it's all personal for me.

He's already thrown more td's in 1 1/2 games than Flacco had in 3 as a rook in the playoffs

Looks like the Jets are going to wrap this game up before halftime.
Oh I didn't think they were wrapping it up. I still think the Colts have the better shot of winning. They're at home, it's Peyton Manning. Enough said.

My point was that they're playing them a hell of a lot better than we did. It's depressing but I'll just be glad to see the Colts lose.

Scott is the 3rd best LB on that team, hes not even close to the player he was in 05 and 06. And really it comes to the fact that Rex sacked up and picked up Edwards for a 3 and a 5th(?) to force defenses to honor a 1 on 1 matchup deep. That and Baltimore has a sweet knack for giving up on the run and rendering PA useless in playoff games.

I saw Scott mosey off the field earlier, but I figured he'd come back in at some point. It's not that surprising really; he's no Ray Lewis.

Sanchez has passed for more touchdowns in this game than Flacco has in five. I'm not saying that Joe can't get better, but right now it's just not even close.

Peyton Manning is a mere mortal in the playoffs. His .500 record proves it.

I think the Rams might have played them better than our offense did. We were just pathetic. I'm not surprised to see the Jets doing better because it would be tough to be worse.

I'd rather see the Colts lose on the biggest stage.

Everyone remembers the Pats flirting with 19-0 and failing, but may not remember the Pats losing to the Ravens. Just like people don't really remember the Steelers beating the Colts in 2005.

The Colts losing on the biggest stage will be a lasting memory for all of us, especially if it's to a team like the Saints that have never been to a Super Bowl or the Vikings who have never won one.

Well jets have already scored two touchdowns. We couldnt even score one in 2 games vs the colts.

GO JETS! BEAT THE COLTS

Peyton Manning might be human in the playoffs, but if I were a betting man, I would never bet against him, playoff record aside.

how big are those missed FG's now?
Well the 50-some yarder isnt one I would worry about. It is the first one that is going to haunt the Jets

Well for all the Mattison haters out there, Rex's D has allowed more points and about 200 more yards than Mattison's. AND Rex has Revis.

Peyton Manning owns Rex Ryan and his defenses.

Since 2005, Ryan's first year as a defensive coordinator, Manning's numbers:
4-0 (including playoffs)
Outscored Ryan's team 114-36
68 of 111 (61.2%) for 944 yards, 9 TDs, 2 INTs

And today, it looks like Manning will make it 5-0.

As of this writing (the game's not over yet), Manning is 26 of 39 (66.7%) for 377 yards and 3 TDs with 0 INTs.

Manning owns Rex. Sucks to say it because of the team Manning plays for, but it's true.

EDIT- Did not include the other regular season game against the Jets, mainly because I forgot about it; but even still, Manning didn't play much, and the numbers are negligible.

And in half those other games, Manning was benched at halftime or after a possession in the 3rd quarter because they were already up big.

Really to beat a guy like Manning you need to play coverage and you need a guy like Reed on the backend. I think Mattison proved that twice. The reason Rex's blitz defense doesnt work is because the routes Manning's offense runs arent stop routes, or lazy outs. He always has someone cutting across the middle, and in single coverage that is damn hard to cover.
