84 posts in this topic

We are at home while the Jets get Indy. As much as i love Rex, Bart and Leonhard, i have been very Jealous that the Newyork Ravens get to go to the Championship while real Ravens are home watching the damn game on T.V. No matter what tho GO JETS JETS JETS JETS(thats how they do it right?) Freaking Jets, lets be honest they got no chance.

the way i see it, the jets got handed a playoff spot, they shouldn't even be in there.
Faulty logic considering they've since won two road playoff games.

Yeah, I'm jealous as hell.

They beat the Chargers who can't seem to win in January, and the Bengals who, well, got shut out a week before they played New York by New York. We had to play the "Dynasty" and the Colts. No jealousy here, but they shouldn't be in the playoffs.

The Bengals sweeped the AFC North.

The Chargers were considered a super bowl favorite by many going into the playoffs.

The Colts had everyone saying "ohh they rested their players they're going to be too rusty to compete in the playoffs".

Don't let jealousy inhibit your basic reasoning skills. The Jets have more than proved they belong in the AFC Championship game.

Jealous? No, not at all.

The Jets win games using a great defense and established running game. But the other 3 teams left in the playoffs are three offensive powerhouses.

Colts with Manning
Saints with Brees
Vikings with Favre

Jets won't go winning any SuperBowl this year. Sorry Rex.

Not jealous because we were in the playoffs too, but we were eliminated in the second round. Everyone can't win the Super Bowl, and our time is coming. Besides, had we gone far, then Ozzie would have said, "well, we got to the Super Bowl with this group of receivers," again. Then I would have thrown a chair at him.

i hope the jets win because it would be hard for the colts to realise that they got kicked by a team that is only in the playoffs because they thought they allready won the sb and didn´t finish theire season...lol

not to sound cynnical

but weren't the 2001 rams the greatest show on turf

didn't they lose to a defensive powerhouse and a QB playing for his first year (not his rookie season) in the SB?

just saying

That's the Chargers and Bengals problem. The Jets can't be faulted for another team's mistakes.

Jealous no? Kind of nostalgic when I see Scott and Leonard team up on a play, kinda like they did against Cincy. They are doing what needs to be done.I don't care how they got there,we needed help to down the stretch, and we got lucky with all the losses from other teams....but yeah Rex has a team he has coached on in the ACFCG twice in a row....I want the Jets because of the disdain for the Colts. But that's just my opinion

Personally, I don't care what the Jets have done in the playoffs, who honestly saw the Bengals not being a "one and done" team? Hmm? Anyone? Okay, they get props for winning over San Diego. However, it doesn't change the fact that the Jets should not be in the playoffs. They were handed a game, and that game is the one they needed to get into the playoffs. They did not play 16 games, they played 15 and a half. So no, they should not be in the playoffs. Other teams were fighting every game for a spot. I do not like the Colts, I do not like the Jets (or Ryan). The only reason I would want to see the Jets win is to see the Colts humiliate themselves for laying down to the Jets, only to be eliminated by that very same team one game away from the Super Bowl. Granted, I'm rooting for the Saints or Vikes in the Super Bowl this year. Screw both AFC teams.

All in all, far from jealous. More annoyed than anything.

Im not sure that I'd say jealous...but it still stings to see Bart and Jimmy playing in green. and hearing Rex get another team pumped up that isn't our defense.

Not really Jealous. But if they beat the Colts and make it to the Superbowl, I sure as heck will be.

Umm, but I'm not jealous? Aren't the Chargers considered a Super Bowl favorite every year before the season even starts? Good for the Bengals! One year wonder?

Jealous no. Im happy that Rex is doing well, as he is a sound HC and a hell of a DC. Players like players coaches, as long as team discipline is upheld on the field I think player's coaches handle teams better, just a personal opinion. The Jets play football oldschool, and that I like...im sick of the spread offense college football, wildcat crap, it gets under my skin lol. And i HATE that the NFL is rewarding this soft style of football...really I hope that the Jets stick it to the entire NFL and then flip off the NFL after winning the super bowl. I would appreciate if Rex and Bart would stop talking crap about the Ravens last year with a rookie HC. Of course Rex helped Harbaugh last year, and Cam did as well. But dont make it sound like Harbaugh was a puppet.

Jealous? No. More like disinterested. I don't even have the game on and am about to go out with my daughters.

Make no mistake though, we WILL be home in time for NO/MIN.

I'm a hater and I fully admit to it.

Even though I'm out of high school and I thought I was done with hearing smack talk, the trash talk from Jets fans has inundated me for the past few months. Making it to the AFC Championship game with our former coaches and players, almost makes me jealous.

Then, I sit and realize that they're gone for a reason. And then ultimately I also realize that, well, they're just plain GONE. And that's where my jealousy turns to just plain resentment.

I wish no luck to TEAMS other than the Ravens; individuals, maybe, but not whole teams.

lol at least you know it. To me it comes down to the 2 styles of football. I HATE finesse, wussy, cry for PI flags when a corner is touching you, you've been hit too hard, Manning's play calling at the line not working and he cries. The Jets attitude ON FIELD is the right one, they believe theyll win every single 1 on 1 battle they come accross, and they play their hearts out. Now OFF the field, I hate them lol.

Becoming more and more jealous as the Jets' offense has now scored two touchdowns while the defense has held the Colts to 6 points.

Still only the second quarter though, but still...they're playing the Colts a lot better than we did.

Its cuz Shottenheimer actually knows how to design a game plan to his offenses strengths. And he actually has a WR who can get separation.

Looks like the Jets are going to wrap this game up before halftime.

I can't say that I'm jealous, just annoyed. I would feel the same way if I were watching the Cowboys go to the SuperBowl right now. I don't like the team so I don't want them to win.

I'm just awaiting all the trash-talking calls and texts I'll be getting in a couple of hours -- and I haven't even talked trash about the Jets to these people to begin with!

The arrogance kills me.

This is what our 06 game should have looked like, McNair's INT in the endzone from the 4 yard line was the beginning of the end.

As much as I want the Jets to lose, there is a part of me that would love to see the Colts get beaten in the playoffs by the team that they rolled over for. No rings, no perfect season... Everything they did would be for naught.

I can take a small amount of pleasure in that.
