Plain And Simple Reason Why We Lost

94 posts in this topic

Should have put Troy in earlier. If he had started, we would have won. Good job Billick!!

Plus, our defense has really dropped.

we went from almost beating the PATRIOTS, to losing to the DOLPHINS. How inconsistent can a team be? Not much more. I think this is Billick's AND Boller's final game.

Looks like we will be picking up a DB in the first round of this years draft. Cleo Lemon passed for over 200 yards in the second half. Thats why we lost.

I can't positive for this. I might as well join my friends making fun of the Ravens. I'm not defending them anymore.

I dont understand how Billick doesnt smell the coffee. How can you not understand that Troy should be starting. How can you not go for it on 3&10.

All I have to say to Brian Billick is....what the heck and See ya!

No, you know why we lost???

Because this entire team has issues, plain and simple.

It's not JUST the coaching, it's not JUST the playcalling, it's not JUST the injuries, it's not JUST the lack of execution, it's not JUST the lack of discipline.

It's ALL of that COMBINED.

Don't pin the team's horrible W/L record on just ONE reason.

And you'd be naive to think that dwelling on what you think SHOULD'VE been done or what SHOULD'VE happened would really make a difference.

To live in the past is to live in denial and be blind to everything else that stays rooted in the present and what's ahead in the future.

Just take things as they are, and look forward to these next two games against the Seahawks and Steelers, and then next season.

It's just a game, and just because we think we know better, doesn't mean we do.

I hope to see some MAJOR changes, starting tomorrow. Not putting blame on Boller,But he has to go,Cory Ivy has to go,Bart Scott has to go,I think letting Billick go wont have alot of sucess, but maybe it will,Im not so sure it could get any worse then this. Troy Smith should be start this week coming up. O-Line is just letting too many players in the backfield and Boller cant avoid the rush like Smith can.

How can you expect the team to play for a straight up idiot!? I know I would be having as many issues as the Ravens players are playing under Billick. Don't blame them while they are being told to do things by some1 such as Brian Billick

The players still have to EXECUTE and make the plays, period.

Don't blame Brian Billick for the defense giving up big plays. He's not the one with the jersey and helmet on. He's not the one missing tackles.

I would let Billick go first. I honestly think he is affecting the rest of the Ravens team. I would let Billick go first, play a game, and see how it goes from there. I would let Rex take over for the rest of the season.

Don't understand with the running game that we have why you would kick the field goal rather than just go for it. Billick you suck!!!! 1 lousy yard to the win.

Would YOU play up to your full potential after going through these past seasons under billick? I don't think anybody could

I think that last point is important.

Work with what you have.

We cannot block, or even touch, guys like Jason Taylor.

So, get a quarterback in that is mobile.

Boller just looked plain lost today when being pressured.

Also, we need to blitz every down. Our entire secondary is just plain awful! lol

Billick and Boller a match made in Loserville! And thats where they should go. Hey, I hear Miami is looking for some replacements. Oh, thats right you can't even win a game against an 0-13 team. Boller has never and will never be an NFL QB. He has to be able to hit the Broad side of a barn with a bazooka, from beyond 2ft. Oh, and hey Billick instead of making it harder to kick a field goal, why not try to move the ball back to center instead of more left you moron, but then again thats been your play calling all year, STUPID! I ain't no NFL coach but I'm sure even I could out coach an offensive (Genius) like you. I hope Steve Biscotti was watching and if these 2 ain't gone after this year, he's really going to make it hard for me to be a Ravens fan next year. Especially knowing I can count on another sub .500 year!

Yeah the defense sucks. They're missing their two starting corners and lost their best player. <_<

It's all Billick and his main man Boller. I haven't seen a guy look that bad against blitzes since Bledsoe.

McAlister is still young and we still have Landry and Reed. I think the Ravens should really think about offensive linemen.

We can't blitz we have to keep guys back to help cover since both of our starting DB's are out. The defensive line can't get any pressure on QB's in this game or any game this season and the opposing QB's have all day to throw the ball.

You blame everything on the COACH, thats the bottom line. Just like if anything happened wrong at your job, you blame the manager even if he wasn't there. Everything that is fault on this team is Billick's fault, thanks for trying to cover up for his poor success though.

Again...if Billick had gone for it and the TD was NOT scored, you'd still be complaining about a loss. So that's a moot point, now isn't it?

And the game was STILL winnable, Stover just missed the field goal. Things happen. Deal with it.

Next year is a rebuilding period.

We have a new quarterback we need to work with. We need to build around Troy.

We also have some dead weight whose mouths seem to out perform their playing skills. I would perform a nice sweep of players on our defense.

I feel our young offense has potential, however. Crazy thing to say, isn't it????

Our linebackers cannot cover receivers though.

Our DE's need to pick it up. Sizzle was being pushed around the quarterback all day. Why not roll inside as Freeney does so well?

Plus, I see Jarrett Johnson standing after a play more than I see him on the ground making a tackle.

Why can Kelly Gregg make tackle sideline to sidelione yet our DE's can't?

And, that's just the beginning.

I have to disagree.

We really had nothing to lose.

However, who would have thought we would have WON the toss and actually moved the ball into field goal range to miss the goal anyway?

What lost the game for us was 1.)the defense being pushed around all day; 2.)keeping Kyle in for too long

you guys should listen to the franchise. he has the best, most intelligent posts in here. he hits it right on. when a team is that inconsistent it's not only the coaching that is to blame.

the coaching has not been very good all season

the quarterback position has been awful(i think you may have found a gem in Troy)

the defense is not playing up to the level it was a season ago

injuries crippled the team at a few points in the season.

the special teams has had some issues.
